I've been a part of the Renaissance at Fischer community for 16 years. I love being a part of our community and closing our school will leave a void that cant be filled. Renaissance was started by parents, educators and community members who wanted a different educational model. I ask the ARUSD School Board to please keep Renaissance at Fischer open and to hold the district accountable for misleading and misrepresenting the school consolidation committee's recommendation. Renaissance at fischer was not on the list of schools recommended by the committee to close and i ask the ARUSD school board to hold the district staff accountable for censoring and misrepresenting the committee's voice.
As an east side native, ARUSD alum, and proud RAF teacher, I love this school community and everything that it stands for. Keep RAF alive, for our students, families, staff, and community.
I went to this school back in 2011 for my middle school years and cannot thank the school method and my amazing teachers enough for how much they taught me. Both in academics and values. I tend to highlight my time here and the best of my academic journey. I’m studying now at Berkeley towards my masters and owe it to the amazing teachers at Renaissance that pushed me forward and believed in me. They were truly like family 💙
This school changed the way I viewed myself and the people here so obviously I don't wanna see my old middle school close down. Also I still have to visit the school after I finish my highschool years, so please for me and the teachers who have jobs here please don't shut down the best school in the Arusd
I personally went to Renaissance and I loved everything about it I was so happy there being a troubled teen. They gave me a second opportunity. Renaissance makes a big difference.
As an alumnus of Renaissance Academy, I can wholeheartedly attest to the profound impact this school has had on my journey, both in higher education and in my current career as an engineer. The skills, values, and support I received during my time at Renaissance were instrumental in shaping not only my academic path but also my professional success.
Closing this school would mean dismantling a community that has nurtured countless students, equipping them with the tools they need to thrive in their futures. Renaissance Academy is more than just a place of learning; it is a beacon of opportunity, inspiration, and personal growth for students who might not find such a supportive environment elsewhere.
If we let this institution close, we risk depriving future generations of the same transformative experiences that have propelled so many of us to success. Let’s come together to preserve this invaluable resource and ensure that Renaissance Academy continues to uplift and empower young minds for years to come.
As a member of the Weber State community for 18 years now I have reguraly used the social trail for midday runs, walks, and cross country skiing. I have never had an issue with golfers and have never heard of anyone else having an issue with golfers. Instead I have had wonderful encounters with fellow nature lovers enjoying easy access to the outdoors. Don't let the lawyers scare us out of enjoying our own backyards!
