We love the Westgate tennis courts, we use them quite frequently! We don't need another field, you can find those anywhere, but awesome tennis courts like at Westgate are hard to find. The Westgate tennis courts are so amazing and such a great place to play tennis or pickleball, especially on a nice day. Save the courts!
Julia a soutenu : Save the Tennis/Pickleball Courts at Westgate Park!They always treated tennis members with disrespect. For example, The golf course would get a million dollar makeover and tennis would get a few new scoreboards.
This affects the whole (San Antonio and surrounding area) tennis community. Losing 4 courts is a match that has to be played as an away match and courts are already hard to come by. Players pay their monthly dues in part, to play home matches and that is going to be very difficult to do.
Please rethink this. You have plenty of room and money to build more tennis and pickleball courts. At the very least don’t take the tennis courts away.
Nancy a soutenu : FOR“Let’s be honest, Miami Lakes desperately needs more pickleball courts—mainly so I have more places to embarrass myself in front of a larger audience. Right now, I’m out here giving the net more attention than my actual opponents and sending balls out of bounds like I’m aiming for a different zip code. If we get more courts, maybe—just maybe—I’ll finally find one where my shots actually stay in play. Honestly, I might be my opponents’ best asset. They don’t even have to try—just wait for me to self-destruct one unforced error at a time. It’s almost impressive how bad I am at making the ball do what it’s supposed to.
