I have lived here for 26 years there is no need for a CPZ here and another bill in the form of a permit that locals have to pay is ridiculous. Having been a resident this long I think this change doesn’t consider the opinions of locals or have us in mind at all.

I do not support CPZ in west norwood. Firstly as a small business these are making it difficult to access customers without great cost to myself or to clients. On a personal level living and working in the area i see where there are CPZ parking then moves to roads without one having a knock on effect to those residents who originally didnt have an issue. This is clearly about revenue and not about the needs or wants of local people.

I have lived here for over 40 years; I also agree that there is no need for a CPZ, especially given the extortionate cost of it on already stressed households. It can be difficult to attract quality skilled tradesman at the best of times. The extra charges will make this more difficult and expensive, especially for emergency call-outs. Why did Lambeth approve so many flats to be built if there is a parking problem? The residents and businesses clearly do not want this unnecessary CPZ.

I to agree there is no issue with parking in West Norwood, and the cost which would be imposed on residents is excessive. As an older person with limited mobility, the number of friends I have in the area has naturally declined, meaning that those who visit from further afield are even more valued and important. The proposed parking charges will punish them for their kindness and leave me feeling guilty if I invite them to visit. I hope that Lambeth Council will provide and pay for extra services to compensate if this unwanted scheme goes ahead.

The newly enforced parking restrictions in the Ten Streets area are damaging to local businesses. For two years, we were told these restrictions would apply only on event days, yet they are now in place 365 days a year. As the owner of a restaurant in the area, I know firsthand how this will impact trade. Our customers typically stay for two to three hours, but the new 60-minute limit makes it impossible for them to park. This isn’t just an issue for my business—it affects every business around us. We understand the need for restrictions on match days, but why are they in place when no events are happening? There is no reason to stop people from parking when the area is quiet. This decision will drive customers away and harm local businesses that have invested in this community. We need the council to revisit these rules immediately and introduce a fairer approach—one that allows businesses to thrive while managing event-day traffic sensibly.

These restrictions will prevent my friends from being able to easily access their work and it will prevent us from being able to Climb at Awesome Walls Liverpool or the Climbing Hangar. Given we make the trip for those facilities regularly, we would have ti take our climbing group to more accessible locations in Queensferry or Manchester. These restrictions seem ill thought through and need a reworking to not impact local businesses so severely.

This appears to be an excuse to introduce yet another stealth tax on drivers and individuals who need to travel and park in the area for work. It is almost certain to negatively impact both individuals and businesses. I know people that work nearby and work night shifts that mean there is no public transport to fall back on. without what little parking there is available in the town center they have no way of getting to and from work. and paying for a Taxi in the small hours of the morning every day would take a huge chunk out of pay packets that are already stretched to the limit.

This is an absolute disgrace. As a musician that plays at Blackstock Market and rehearses at Vulcan studios, these parking restrictions will make it virtually impossible to continue do this. These and many more businesses will suffer as a consequence, all for 20 odd matches a year (let's face it, they're not getting into Europe or going on much of a cup run 😉)

The Climbing Hangar Sandhills is one of the oldest bouldering gyms in the the UK and the gym is where I first climbed and fell in love with the sport that has done wonders for my physical and mental health. As the gym is located in an industrial estate, the proposed parking restrictions will severely negatively impact this business and could lead to its closure. This would be a huge loss to the climbing community at large. It is simply unjust to prioritise the needs of some businesses (Everton) over others, simply because they have more money to throw around. Local businesses matter too.

Dear Readers, Local Businesses, Customers and anyone that cares about the community, In 1849 St Albans Church opened its doors to parishioners, and after 139 years of faithful service closed them due to a decline in population in the docks area in 1990. In 1999 after extensive fire damage we bought the building that is now known as Awesome Walls Climbing Centre . Now in 2025 it faces anther major obstacle. With the new Everton stadium being built close by, the council wants to adopt a strict two-hour parking policy on all the roads surrounding the stadium, and this includes our street. This policy will be enforced 365 days a year and not just on match days! We have space for 20 cars in our small car park but we usually have an excess of 60 vehicles on our busier periods. We urgently ask you to sign this petition and leave a comment where it asks you to do so. By signing this petition, you are helping us to continue providing a service that has helped the local community, schools, youth groups and individuals for over 28 years. Many awesome friendships and relationships have been forged at Awesome Walls Liverpool (including meeting my wife and having two awesome offspring) and we’d love to see many more in the years to come. If I could be so bold as to also ask that you share this petition far and wide on your social accounts, it would mean the world to us. I really do hope you can spare a minute or to to help save our business.
