Pastor Marcos and Melissa Diaz of Kaleo Ministries embody the true essence of service, walking the talk in their unwavering commitment to our most vulnerable neighbors and extended community members. They are the hands and feet of God, dedicated to supporting the healing and wholeness of individuals and families, including youth of all ages.
Through private donors, they have done more for the mind, body, and spirit of those led to their doors than many well-funded organizations that, all too often, sustain the revolving door of homelessness rather than truly ending it.
Hope City Refuge will be a beacon of hope, building upon the powerful calling placed on the lives of Pastors Marcos and Melissa Diaz. May God continue to bless them with open doors, resources, strength, wisdom, courage, and love as they extend Kaleo Ministries’ transformative work to all whose lives they touch.
I live in a area where these beautiful birds occupy the neighborhood. They are majestic and beautiful birds. It is up to each & everyone in our neighborhood to protect them.Signage in the Conway area is well needed. Not all traffic is aware of these beautiful birds. It is our responsibility to inform others.
Healthy animals are NEVER euthanized, they are killed.Euthanization is for ending suffering that will never get better but only worse, killing is just killing. It is not their fault they are homeless and they are not disposable objects but are living and feeling beings. It is imperative to have low cost spay/neuter clinics with a lot of outreach, education, stronger laws, and TNR for cats. Also, canine racism should never be considered acceptable, thus the killing of so many allegedly "dangerous" dogs.
This has been an issue for years but it has gotten worse. The speed people travel down this road is crazy, day and night. Burnout marks on the street everywhere. A daytime speed trap will not fix this issue because the worst offences happen after dark, late at night.
Same issue occurred in Orlo Vista area. I hope things are implemented before the next storm. People work hard and deserve to have their homes protected!
It’s a shame the community can’t experience the full potential these artists envision their work for. It’s disappointing and embarrassing for a city that prides itself on world class entertainment to not show movies the way the theater was built for.
As a patron of this theater from the “beforetimes,” I can attest to the veracity and importance of everything in this petition. Anyone who’s witnessed the full impact of the floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall image this powerhouse auditorium is capable of producing would enthusiastically agree that it’s shameful for the theater to not be maximizing the service they can provide the filmgoing audience. It’s sad to see the people who used to frequent the theater and pack it out for event spectacles displaced to nearby AMC Dolby and IMAX presentations that now regularly outpace them in attendance for PLF. It’s still a better theater than most but it sucks to know it’s not as good as it could be.
This theater used to be PACKED for Imax screenings before the combo of a damaged projector and the every other IMAX projector in town upgrading to Laser. Now it's rarely ¼ full when I go. In the current climate of more moviegoers seeking out premium formats, this could pull SO many people in and away from the few other smaller IMAX screens in the area. It just needs a good projector!
