ICE is taking people in dangerous ways..Our fellow humans, neighbors who are immigrants, deserve dignity. ICE is operating in a cruel, intimate and evil fashion in taking people while wearing masks, in taking children
Our county is better than that!
The casino/owners/investors will get rich while a majority of the jobs will be low wage. Increased traffic and more begging on the street for those that lost their shirts in the casino. Build something for the community not for rich people to take even more from the community.
I am writing to express my opposition to the proposed casino in Tysons Corner which has been advanced recently thru the Virginia Senate Gaming Subcommittee. I've lived in the Tyson's area of Fairfax County for over 35 years and am very concerned about the impact a casino would have on my community. I am asking you to use your influence and position to see that a casino is not built in this area or any area. A casino will have many negative ramifications on this beautiful and already OVERCROWDED residential and business community. The impact on our infrastructure for schools, children, respected businesses, long established communities, roads, etc. would be devastating. Our neighborhood is already seeing an increase in crime, traffic and congestion as well as an influx of homeless individuals. Many other reasons are pointed out by the No Tysons Casino Coalition. My neighbors oppose this casino but feel our voices are being drowned out by the money being thrown around by the developer. Please use your influence to oppose building a casino in Tysons.
