This ban is truly ridiculous. The school I go to doesn't allow cell phones until high school. Next year, I would've finally been able to use my cell phone in school. I recently heard that they're getting banned in NYS. As someone with no friends at school, it gives me something to do during lunch. Just to add, cell phone usage does not contribute to this. Not only is it an escape, but it's also good to have in case of an emergency. In New York, there are a ton of school shootings. If one were to occur, students wouldn't be able to contact their parents to let them know what's happening. The schools' communication with parents is usually unhelpful. In conclusion, instead of a complete ban on phones in NY, there should be a ban on using cell phones in class, meaning you can use them during free periods. Please consider my opinion and other students' opinions on this matter to reach a verdict that will be satisfactory to the majority in NYS.

We try to visit NYC often. We got married at a church in Fort Hamilton while my husband was guarding the subway system after 911. Now that I need to use a wheelchair (NYC is not wheelchair friendly), my husband has to drive everywhere. The extra expense would be outrageous for us. Please excuse handicap people outside NYC from having to pay this toll. Thank you!!
Trisha supported: Let disabled people outside of NYC be exempt from the Congestion Pricing Toll
My son was murdered 23 months ago in Gouverneur correctional facility the 200 shu in New York they double bunked him with someone he should not have been with classification wise nor should’ve been double Bunk’d I support everything with this. I’m going for my justice.

I am a stepdaughter of a retired CO. I can remember times when he came home really late due to having to be in the hospital due to an inmate biting him. There were a lot of times where he would work 12 hour shifts or even do doubles. That was not safe for him nor the inmates. Now I have a granddaughter who wears the BLUES proudly! I fear everyday that she is safe from harm and diseases. The scare is real folks!!! If you haven't worked behind the walls or a family member of someone who is, you don't have any idea of what it's like. For those of us who have had that experience, it's very scary and you always worry if your love one will be home safe and on time. We have to make these prisons safer!! I STAND WITH OUR BLUES!!!!

It's ridiculous that, after all we have done to the people who were here before us, where the Native voices that our forebears attempted to obliterate and silence over more than several centuries are STILL being marginallized, even by the so-called "liberal" people, the Governor of this so-called liberal state is supporting the Johnny-come lately millionaires over the native people of this land. I stand with the Shinnecocks.

I am a member of the Shinnecock Nation. It is a disgrace that in 2024 we still have to fight for equality and the ability to support ourselves economically! Should we talk about what has unlawfully been stolen from us? Suppression continues to happen in many forms, and this is one of them...shameful.

Local towns clamping down on the tribes right to economic development is absolutely the most absurdly ironic and openly discriminatory thing to have happened in local government history in my lifetime. This is something that will be seen as an embarrassment, an example of blatant injustice, by future generations.

These recent escalations are part of a pattern of the Town of Southampton & the State of NY utterly disrespecting & disregarding the autonomy of the Shinnecock Nation to decide what should be done on *their* land. The Town of Southampton has, also, still not ceded Shinnecock Hills to the Shinnecock Tribe (which, hence the name, should be a no-brainer.) This is largely because the lucrative Shinnecock Hills Golf Course now occupies that land (and was built over tribal burial grounds.) I believe wholeheartedly in the right of the Shinnecock Tribe to move forward with these projects to support their economic prosperity. Please support this petition!

I stand in solidarity with the people of The Shinnecock Nation in the ongoing fight for recognition, preservation, and restoration of our rightful lands. Our heritage, culture, and connection to the land deserve respect and protection. It is imperative that the injustices of the past are addressed, and our sovereignty and rights are upheld. I support the call for justice and hope that this collective voice contributes to lasting change for our community and future generations. In solidarity and respect, Tribal Member of the Shinnecock Nation, Gordon Lewis Smith Jr.
