In the year 2025, it is both heartbreaking and enraging that we are still witnessing a devastating pattern of injustice in Mississippi. A pattern where black lives are cut short, and white perpetrators walk free without accountability. Despite the tragic loss of his innocent life, no arrest was made, and no charges were filed. This is not about one incident, this is about a long history of Black people in Mississippi being harmed and unalived at the hands of white individuals, only for the justice system to look the other way. We've seen it time and time again, names we remember, and names we never even got the chance to know. Each time, families are left grieving, communities are left fearful, and yet nothing changes. The failure to hold this man accountable sends a dangerous message, that black lives can be taken without consequence. That the system is not built to protect us. That in 2025, in the deep south, justice is still not blind, but slective. We demand justice not only for this child but for every black person who has been denied it. This senseless death is a painful reminder that without accountability, the cycle of violence continues. This isn't just about one case, it's about the kind of society we are willing to accept. If we don't stand up now, what message do we send to the next generation of black children growing up in Mississippi? We are calling on local, state, and federal officials to investigate this case fully, bring appropriate charges, and show that no one is above the law.
