It’s not right to put Mike through stress in large stadiums. He would live longer if we gave him the respect and environment he deserves. Big cats should no longer be your pawns! We could show true conservation practices and respect for exotic animals.

Parading a live tiger in a loud, chaotic stadium full of screaming fans is stressful, unnatural, and cruel. There are so many ways to honor school spirit without exploiting an animal. LSU can celebrate its tiger pride without subjecting a real tiger to a lifetime of captivity and distress. It’s time to end this outdated and inhumane practice!

Tigers are solitary creatures, who become stressed in zoo enclosures where they CAN hide. What must it be like in that cage, in that stadium. Despite being a football fan, I won't even go to those stadiums. 100 thousand screaming humans? Earthquakes caused by thier idiocy. And you put a wild animal in a cage in the middle of that. SHAME ON YOU. Shows a serious lack of moral character for a man who claims to be a Christian. Dominion over the animals is about feeding, housing and clothing ourselves. Not torturing them for our entertainment.

First off, tigers (and just any animal in general) are unpredictable, and this just puts people in danger. Plus this can put stress on any animal with all the loud sounds. Animals are here with us, not for us. They are not your amusement they are living beings.

There's animals that are meant to be with people and in their homes or outside on their property, and then there's animals that are meant to be on God's land. I can't stand it when companies or schools or colleges put these animals in captivity to get some kind of following, or viewers to make money it's disgusting and deplorable Behavior!!! I would never send my kids to that school for that reason. I do understand there's some animals out there that would not survive in the wild, okay so we put them in a sanctuary not in a little cage for people's viewing pleasure!

As an avid animal lover, and nature lover this is sad to see coming from a university. If that’s does happen, I will openly talk badly about LSU for years to come. I’d also look at the people in administration making these choices. I wouldn’t want anybody at my university making choices that involves promoting a wild animal that has protected rights in a cage for football?? What a disgrace. I give a lot of credit to the LSU students for speaking up. Get a tiger mascot costume and call it a day.
