Inmates are people, they should be rewarded with pay, job opportunities, everything! They are functioning in the role of a first responder and should not be treated with the lens of prison labor/slavery practices. Let's step up and do this differently.
My lived experience is the reason why I care about this petition. I was incarcerated for five years in CDOC. The dogs were treated better than we were. I currently have family in CDOC. The food is not edible, and the living conditions are horrible.
The success of NJ lacrosse doesn't happen without Montclair State. Anywhere you go whether it's youth or HS there's a connection back to MSU. This school has produced numerous coaches that had made an impact on so many lives. And to drop it without any heads up is shameful and sad.
