This is completely unjust and unethical. Shame on general hospital for doing this to such a dedicated, kind, and wonderful soul. Rose Marcello deserves so much better than this, and so do all the workers who have gone through similar things as her. You would think a hospital of all places would be accommodating to this.
I am a 10 year cancer survivor! I would. It be here had they have not performed a colon resection. I have what’s called lynch syndrome that means I am more prone to cancer than others and my doctor has to fight for scans to be done with my insurance every year. So please reinstate so she can get the care she needs do the right thing!
I have been a nurse for 46 years. I do not feel that the employers truly value their employees, especially ones who have valuable experience. I have known nurses who had to come back to work before they were ready because of the fear of losing their jobs. Where is the compassion!. How can hospitals say they give the best care to their patients when they do not value their employees?
I support worldwide Universal Healthcare Coverage and mental healthcare services because we ALLA have the potential to require such services at any given moment in our lives. Equal access to quality healthcare (including mental healthcare) is the ethnical, just and moral course of action for our shared world. We ALL required some level of healthcare when we were born into this world, therefore, by virtue of birth the world should inherently consider equal access to quality healthcare and mental healthcare a basic human right. Not doing so should be considered one the Crimes Against Humanity.
My daughter Rebecca is starting a petition for screening of PPCM during pregnancy! It is the condition she developed when she was pregnant with her youngest son if undiagnosed this condition can be fatal to mothers! If you can sign and pass along I’d appreciate it!
I was diagnosed with 2 types of breast cancer last month and my PCP at Anchor Medical has been a major source of support and knowledge for me during this time! Last week when I received a text message that they would be closing and this news was devastating to me and I’m sure for thousands of other patients!! RI already has a low number of primary care physicians and now with thousands of patients looking for a new provider… What are we all supposed to do?? The politicians in this state apparently don’t care about us or they would have been working on a solution for the lack of providers, maybe ask why there aren’t enough primary care physicians in RI? Maybe Medicare/Medicaid aren’t paying enough or paying the bills at all?? Something needs to give! The patients of Anchor Medical love our providers and don’t want to lose them! Please save our doctors!!
The shortage of primary care physicians has been an ongoing issue for several years in Rhode Island. Our state representatives must do more to bring in primary care physicians to Rhode Island. As a patient of Anchor Medical Associates, I was devastated to learn that they would be closing. I had a great primary care physician at Anchor Medical. She was caring, attentive, and always available. Please lets take action to keep Anchor Medical Associates open.
