I support worldwide Universal Healthcare Coverage and mental healthcare services because we ALLA have the potential to require such services at any given moment in our lives. Equal access to quality healthcare (including mental healthcare) is the ethnical, just and moral course of action for our shared world. We ALL required some level of healthcare when we were born into this world, therefore, by virtue of birth the world should inherently consider equal access to quality healthcare and mental healthcare a basic human right. Not doing so should be considered one the Crimes Against Humanity.
I was diagnosed with 2 types of breast cancer last month and my PCP at Anchor Medical has been a major source of support and knowledge for me during this time! Last week when I received a text message that they would be closing and this news was devastating to me and I’m sure for thousands of other patients!! RI already has a low number of primary care physicians and now with thousands of patients looking for a new provider… What are we all supposed to do?? The politicians in this state apparently don’t care about us or they would have been working on a solution for the lack of providers, maybe ask why there aren’t enough primary care physicians in RI? Maybe Medicare/Medicaid aren’t paying enough or paying the bills at all?? Something needs to give! The patients of Anchor Medical love our providers and don’t want to lose them! Please save our doctors!!
The shortage of primary care physicians has been an ongoing issue for several years in Rhode Island. Our state representatives must do more to bring in primary care physicians to Rhode Island. As a patient of Anchor Medical Associates, I was devastated to learn that they would be closing. I had a great primary care physician at Anchor Medical. She was caring, attentive, and always available. Please lets take action to keep Anchor Medical Associates open.
Anchor Pediatrics is one of the only pediatricians nearby and none of the others are accepting new patients. They have been our home and safe haven for all three of my daughters and are an integral part of the growth of my kids. I cannot imagine what we will do without access to this facility, the doctors, nurses and staff who have become members of our family. Please reconsider keeping this practice open as so many families will be left without consistent care including my own.
My son has complex medical needs, Anchor Pediatrics has been a staple in his health since he was born. He has so much medical trauma but it’s been a relief knowing he’s familiarized himself with the medical staff here. Heartbroken is an understatement. I’m anxious of what the future holds for my kids especially knowing so many practices are not intaking new pts.
My daughter works there and it’s hard to find a job also I was gonna allow my child to go there because he has ADHD so felt switching him was a good fit it’s hard to find good medical for a child with special needs I’m praying for a good outcome specially for the people who been working there for years who almost ready to retire too many patience are gonna be on a waiting list for medical so that means other doctors office are gonna be over worked
EVERYONE deserves to know what happened to their loved one. It helped my family last July when we lost my mum suddenly and unexpectedly too. She was 53 and survived breast cancer during Covid.
We are in the UK and there are no autopsy at the hospitals that I am aware of and they kept us updated at the coroners office. Why is this not the standard everywhere.
I pray that Miko can honour her mum by getting this legislation passed!
Every person should know how their loved one has passed. I was promised my husband would have an autopsy, only to find out they did an 'external' autopsy. They just looked at his body. To this day, I do not know the real reason why my husband is no longer living.
