As a young man whom wants to start a family in the state I was born and have grown up in, I'm at a halt due to unnecessary tax increase and cost of living rising. I wouldn't be able to afford a family even though I have an education.

The so called tax for the roads is going in their pockets because the roads are worse day by day! We small businesses are hurting with all the red tape to function now CARB is almost regulating all trucks off the road how are we going to get products into stores if there’s no trucks???

Our border is open and violent crimes are up, fentanyl is flowing freely causing so many deaths including children, the homeless population is out of control and he had promised to take care of it when he ran, cost of fuel is up, electricity has skyrocketed, rents and home prices are not sustainable for the average family and people are choosing a home over food, auto insurance is almost as expensive as a car payment, many home insurance companies have left California because Gavin will not do anything to manage our forests so the companies that stayed are charging exorbitant prices, he needs to deport criminals immediately and seal our border, groceries are expensive because of overhead costs, businesses are closing every day or moving our of state because of the cost of doing business here is not worth it and theives grab and run and do not get penalties, we just want to live safely, happy, in an affordable home (My home is paid off and we have to scrimp and save to afford groceries), medical care here is ridiculously expensive, car registration is expensive, income tax, sales tax, property tax, this tax, that tax, tax tax, it's ridiculous! My daughter just had twins. With her and her husband working full time they fall further behind every month. She's lived there for 7 years, they raise the rent $100-150 every year. A small 2 bdr runs over $2,100 a month! She's heading towards homelessness with 4 month old twins. This madness has to stop!!! All these taxes and our state looks like trash. Tents under the freeways and anywhere, people begging for money on every intersection and in front of every store, the homeless generate so much trash and just throw it everywhere, needles, drug pipes, you can't walk down the street anymore without encountering a homeless person asking for money or food and many of them have their kids with them! We NEED new leadership! Someone who will actually tackle these matters!!! So many people I know have left, but we are scraping by check to check after filing bankruptcy. I have never had financial problems in my 57 years. But these last few years have been the worst.

During COVID, he enforced harsh lockdowns while breaking his own rules, devastating small businesses and disrupting education. Homelessness has spiraled out of control despite billions wasted on ineffective programs. His border policies have strained resources, leaving taxpayers to pick up the tab.
Worst of all, Newsom has attacked parental rights. My child’s name was changed at school without my knowledge, effectively erasing her from the system and keeping her out of school for years. This overreach shows his disregard for families and children.
California deserves a leader who prioritizes solutions over political posturing. Newsom has failed us all.

We vote yes for funds for one thing and they get diverted for something we voted no on. Newsom doesn’t care about enforcing laws on crimes, theft isn’t even a slap on the wrist anymore, how are businesses supposed to make it and how are we supposed to feel safe?
