I have had my umn account since summer 2000, and it has been my email since.
It is basically like a diary of University life at this point and now I hear they are going to be shut down.
The accounts should not be shut down, very shortsighted by the University.
This is terrible as someone who grew up on Pensacola who enjoyed the Gulf almost everyday of my life it is terrible that we are renaming it the Gulf of America. It has always been the Gulf of Mexico and the fact that Trump is that bigoted and self absorbed to name it such just to hurt the Gulf more by taking more oil is ridiculous we need to protect the Gulf of MEXICO that we all grew up on.
I grew up on the shores of Venice Beach, Florida on the Gulf of Mexico. It holds so many beautiful memories of my childhood. My mom and grandparents lived there before me and my dad still enjoys calling the city home. While us natives refer to it merely as “the gulf”, it has been the Gulf of Mexico for generations. My great grandfather was a Native American that grew up in Florida enjoying the gulf. A single person shouldn’t be able to change our history. Americans didn’t vote for this. Floridians didn’t vote for this. Don’t bend to a tyrannical politician.
Changing the Iranian flag emoji is the next step to healing the wounds of my beloved country and showing the oppressive regime that change is on its way. I have been living away from my motherland since I was eight years old and cannot imagine continuing to do so in the future.
This type of abuse of power and authority prevents Veterans from seeking care at VA Facilities. Phoenix VA has had issues like this and other poor care for decades. My Vietnam Vet father was a brief patient in the 1980's. What he received at that facility prevented me from seeking VA care for almost two decades (Gulf War/GWOT Vet). It was horrible. He finally received the type of care he needed in 2019. And Myself 2024. Neither at that facility.
I am on the owner of a house that has just been blurred and am terribly distressed by this. The property has been in our family for 50 years and now we've lost all the historical images from 2008 onwards. I did not authorise this and have no idea who could have done it. It is unacceptable for Google to make this permanent without having established the identity of the owner. We need this to be investigated and a class action initiated.
Long story short, I have a son that is autistic and rides a bus and the bus drivers will not pull in front of our house if they can't see it on the GPS so I have to walk to the end of our street and get him and physically carry him home all because my house was blurred by a person that doesn't even live here. Please I'm begging you please help me get this removed.
No one who lives here requested Google blur my house. I'm the only blurred house on the block, making *ME* a target for theft because people think there's something to hide. I know the current photo is gone, I just want it un blurred the next time they take new photos. Ridiculous and dangerous stance by Google.
