As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, even the tamest most non-pornographic image or text I post is taken with great offense by homophobic and transphobic people who want to eradicate the presence of Queer people online. The mere existence of a Pride flag let alone Pride colors in any art or clothing causes such bigots it treat it as the same thing as pornography. My community has routinely been unjustly targeted by bigots, who often use porn bans as a means to justify the banning as non-pornographic content. As a result, I am heavily oppossed to any and all banning of sexual content, because banning sexual content never stops there, it always include non-sexual things. As such the fight to protect peoples' right to sexual expression is vital for protecting my right to exist.
As someone with mild autism, anime, manga, and games are my comfort zone. They help me calm down from what's going on in the real world. And yet credit card companies and those activists are taking those away from us. Look; if you guys don't like what you see, then that's fine. But that doesn't mean you get to censor stuff other people with brains (i.e. common sense) enjoy! Even some women with brains enjoy anime/manga/games, too (we mostly enjoy them for the powerful stories, and bright colors)! It's like you wanna buy an apple at the grocery store, and yet the credit card company declines your purchase, because apples are "too sweet". If censorship takes over the entire anime/manga/gaming media, there won't be any left for us. In fact, we wouldn't have fun, or work on stuff we want at all, and that will destroy the entire entertainment industry, and it'll collapse economically. Fiction is fiction, and reality is reality.
