Financial literacy is a crucial topic that affects individuals worldwide, regardless of their economic status. Recent trends have highlighted the importance of understanding personal finance, managing debt, and making informed decisions about investments. Petitions under this topic often push for better financial education in schools, advocating for curriculum changes to equip students with essential money management skills.
One petition, supported by thousands, calls for mandatory financial literacy courses to be included in school programs, emphasizing the long-term benefits of teaching financial responsibility at a young age. Another petition urges banks to provide clearer information on financial products and services to help consumers make informed decisions about their money.
Get involved in the movement for financial literacy by supporting these petitions and advocating for comprehensive financial education for all. Together, we can empower individuals to make sound financial choices and build a more financially resilient society for the future.
I have been paying Rent now for a long time. This could really help me to be a home owner because I’ve been on my job for years my credit is one of the things holding me back from homeownership
Prof Munenzon is dedicated to his students success and has brought positive change to the finance program at IWU. We have not only learned, but retained and truly understood complex topics because of his teaching style. In an increasingly competitive industry, students need an experienced upper-level professor who can fully prepare them. Removing such would hinder the programs progress and preparedness of its students.
After my freshmen year at IWU, I really didn’t like the finance department of IWU. I almost transferred to UIUC, but a couple weeks before that, I met Professor Mikhail Munenzon. He is the only reason why I decided to stay at IWU. His teaching methods, mentorship, and guidance are irreplaceable. If not him, I would never secure a full-time job from KPGM and work as a management consultant. If not him, I would never know what high finance is. He built this finance culture at iwu brick by brick. I met so many incredible people thru him. He cares for students so much unlike so many professors and stuff members of iwu.
Coming into IWU, I had a slight interest in finance and was not even sure if that would be my full pursuit. However, immediately after my first meeting with Professor Munzenon, he sparked my interest in the topic like no one has before in just a day. The passion and dedication he has towards teaching students through his unique and extensive practitioner experience is unmatched and irreplaceable. His one of a kind teaching style is one of the biggest assets this school has to offer and really make students care. Professor teaches students to be thinkers and problem solvers instead of blindly memorizing some slides or static processes. Despite his busy schedule with his other work he does the most for students, serving as sponsor for both the Investments and Trading Club as well as Women in Finance. He also goes out of the way to talk to students individually for guidance in classes, career, and life. Not only would forcing him to change his style of teaching be disappointing, but it would be a complete let down of the students who are receiving their education at IWU. He is a fantastic individual and a priceless teacher/mentor.
Professor Munenzon has made an extraordinary impact on current Wesleyan students and alumni. His dedication for his students is unmatched but more notably his dedication to advocating for women in the finance field has made female students more confident in the industry. Munenzon is an excellent Professor who has a refreshing outlook on academics and has changed the Finance program at IWU immensely; Replacing him would not only devastate students but fail them in providing the utmost education Wesleyan has promised them.
Professor Munenzon is easily the best professor I’ve ever had. He combines his vast knowledge of the financial world with his genuine care for his students. He not only teaches, but inspires students like myself to work harder in school as he instills passion into every lecture he teaches. His knowledge is irreplaceable, and the school would have some huge holes to fill without him.
Professor Munenzon has helped me immensely in the classroom and in my professional search as a student at Illinois Wesleyan University. He is always willing to help me and any other student out with anything that we need and genuinely cares for our wellbeing. His instruction in his courses has also opened up a new love for Finance and without him I wouldn’t be continually growing my knowledge in the industry. I truly believe he is pivotal for the finance program at IWU and his impact will be seen on his students in years to come.
Professor Munenzon has been the best thing to happen to me during my time at IWU. He helped us students revamp Investments and Trading club, took us on real world employer visits, and offers insight on the Investments world that is of the highest quality. Professor Munenzon helped get me invited to the UBS Investors Day trip this summer where we spent the day at 4 different companies prospecting for our course's endowment fund. I would not have received and thrived this summer at my Internship at Country Financial, nor would I be prepared for the grueling interview process for postgraduate opportunities if it weren't for him. He has advanced the Finance program at IWU into a great place and deserves only the best in return.
