Equine Welfare

Equine welfare is a critical topic that addresses the well-being and humane treatment of horses and other equines. Petitions under this topic cover a range of issues, including the prevention of horse abuse, the end of horse slaughter, and the promotion of responsible horse ownership practices. Notable petitions highlight the need for stricter regulations on horse racing to prevent injuries and fatalities, as well as the rescue and rehabilitation of neglected or abandoned horses. One impactful petition with tens of thousands of signatures focuses on ending the cruel practice of horse soring, which involves the intentional infliction of pain to produce an exaggerated gait in show horses. Another petition advocates for the banning of horse-drawn carriages in cities to protect carriage horses from exhausting work conditions in busy urban environments. Take action by supporting these petitions and standing up for the welfare of equines. Your voice can make a difference in ensuring that horses are treated with care, respect, and compassion.
