If we don't start protecting the innocent what are we here for. Animals don't get to defend themselves against monsters and of they ever do they're beaten more or put to death for it. Only the most disgusting pathetic people in this world go ager the innocent and one that can't protect themselves. Letting people off without harsh punishment after they've done such horrible things only let's the world know they can do whatever they want to animals and they won't have to worry about a thing. Beating animals is the same thing as beating a baby they feel the pain they're scared and in pain but they don't have a voice of their own. If all animal lovers and those that believe any kind of abuse is wrong don't start standing up to be the voice of the weak the whole world is going to some day end up being like this guy because our children and grandchildren won't know any difference and some of them will end up being the abuser. They need to see us fighting against the wrongs in this world so they know to stand up too.

Destiny was clearly failed and her suffering should have been prevented. Gordon County and the surrounding areas are notorious for ignoring abused and neglected animals. Maybe if those in the position to actually do something had higher expectations and held people accountable… our communities would also become more empathetic and responsible pet owners.
Michelle supported: Stop Animal Cruelty - Destiny's Lawanimal control needs to start enforcing laws that are in place right along with the judges. these laws need to also be made to make the abuser serve jail time. animal abuse in ga is only a misdemeanor it needs to be a felony. these animals have no voice, they can't run away when starved, beaten, used to fight, we need to be their voice. all they ask for is love and that is what should be given to them, along with protection. the people that are supposed to protect the voiceless are not doing their jobs and they need to be removed and those that are willing to do the jobs and stand up to people, remove those that are being abused, enforce the laws, are needed to take their place. abuse and neglect has got to stop.

Abuse of any means to animals or humans should not and will not be tolerated. Abuse to a creature or a human, shows you have no empathy or heart. It’s been a difficult 9 months or paying for training, she is amazing with family members in my house now ( it’s taken months and working with a trainer for her to actually be affectionate with my husband.) I still have to have her on a leash when new people come into our house. No dog should have fear like she has. It’s been an amazing 9 months of watching her grow her trust….

Animal Control needs to uphold the laws and do there part so no other animals suffers like Destiny did. Destiny suffered longer once Animal Control was informed of the neglect and abuse. Pictures prove Destiny's health was a life and death matter of emergency rescue. Animal Control had a job to do and they didn't take it serious enough to save her. Animal Control has a duty to protect all animals from neglect and abuse.

She was a stray if my boyfriend hadn’t acted and we had taken her to AC she would have been put down. We since have begun to volunteer at the Rescue that helped us cover her medical costs and save her life I was also the volunteer that helped destiny. Find Destiny placement in a loving house Foster . Small animal rescues like Paw Angels are the ones taking a brunt of the medical cost for dogs like this and trying to save their lives. I believe it is important for city officials and for people that abuse neglect and dump animals to be held responsible for what they do to the animals in their care.
It is the responsibility as us as humans to take care of these animals that do not have a voice. Severe neglect, abuse, and injuries should not be a reason to not take action. They should be a reason to take action, and the people put in the places of authority should be more strictly supervised and held accountable.
