I don't know who this benefits. I live on St Pauls St, just along from the cafes. Firstly if you look at which are open at night, it is very few, so the pedestrianisation benefits what? Seahorse (who spread out in front of the long-gone Ambrosia anyway, and are rarely full); Four Frogs, who have 2 floors already; Bat Country, whose customers wouldnt be able to go far with alcohol, so its just an extra couple of tables (people drinking right next to a busy bus road, bad idea); and Del Punto, again, maybe this gives them 2 extra tables. The Spot is great for food and drink, but most nights these places aren't full to capacity. The idea might look good on paper to a town planner, but if you live here you'll know it will mean blocked roads because so many people think their kids have to be dropped off right outside the dance school or right outside the Ritz; and single-file pavements because of tables e-bikes and restaurant signs. Council does not have staff to police drivers stopping for a minute to drop people off (behaviour you can guarantee will happen), so you'll just have long traffic jams to the roundabout, horns blaring, tempers flaring and less people able to park for the businesses you're trying to help. I don't get what you're thinking you'll achieve. When we have backed up traffic at the Spot, it messes with it all the way up to Belmore Rd, and down to Dudley St/Barker St which creates noise pollution and causes drivers to do erratic u-turns or make dangerous decisions. Its already bad enough with dance school parents/cinema goers/school run drop-off if they can't pull in somewhere.
Ian a soutenu : SAVE THE SPOT PARKING IN RANDWICK!
Parking is already a major issue at the spot, particularly for residents who often cannot get a park anywhere near their houses, despite paying for a permit. Taking spots away is a ridiculous idea.

This is so sad why should he be forced into retirement. Dr Assaad is such a well trained and educated doctor, his knowledge compassion and empathy is what all doctors should have. One of the best doctors I am glad to have met. To force Dr Assaad’s retirement is truly unjust!

A great doctor and been seeing him close to 40 years including family members who have been going there. When this country need good doctors they want to retire a sensational one who wants to keep going and looking after the committee it’s makes no sense what so ever what happened to someone’s choice to keep working at there own choice especially someone’s as important as dr Nabil Assad. I hope common sense prevails and the decision gets reversed

Dr Assaad has many years experience his knowledge is unmatched. I have been seeing him for over 40 years. There is no other doctor with his expertise. At my worst time when I needed someone he was there. I can honestly say that I cannot imagine going to another doctor this will impact my well-being . Please reconsider your decision.
