To lose a teacher because we have 1 pupil less that school role requirements is unacceptable. It will impact my child's learning and we could very well lose a very good teacher as a result of them not having a full weeks teaching hours. It is integral to our village that our school remains functional
I fully support this initative. We could easily incorporate trees onto 10% of our farmland, with no decrease at all in production-indeed research shows the ecological benefits the trees bring and their benefits for animal health and welfare, could make our farms more productive and our water cleaner. As an alumnus, I was very disappointed to hear about further cuts to Arts and Humanities. My MA specialism was caught up in the 2021cuts to English, and I had to change my plans, and my future, very suddenly. It was enormously stressful, and left me uncertain how to proceed. I had hoped that one cohort’s worth of stress was enough! I implore UoL to safeguard what remains of their Arts and Humanities departments, there is tremendous value in our subjects,
I'm a part-time PhD student studying applied linguistics through the school of education at the University of Leicester. I don't cost the university a lot of money, but I pay full tuition. Losing this opportunity to continue my education while teaching full time would be devastating for me.
