My sister was killed a few years ago
Brandy Boyd , she was 9 months pregnant. Her child passed away as well. Guy did a few years and was released. Multiple DUI's. So sad, make people think twice. Don't drink and drive!!!
Bailey will now never be able to reach those milestones everyone else talks abt in life, she won’t graduate this summer, she’ll never be able to walk down the isle, or have a baby if she wanted, nothing all because of someone else mistakes, so why should he be able to do those things ?
The FACT HE TOOK A LIFE is beyond me in the Old Testament wasn’t it an EYE FOR AN EYE, she didn’t get to walk that stage enjoy the rest of HER childhood because someone made the choice to kill her by getting in that car over the legal limit!!! And for what to have everyone else grieving bai didn’t even get to experience buying her own car or her own home SHE WAS RIPPED OF HER LIFE
This needs to be changed too many people take drinking and driving as a joke! I know several people that have gotten pulled over drunk and was just let go like it was no big deal! Maybe if penalties are stricter people will stop doing it and honestly the penalty should be stricter for any DUI manslaughter or not! Everyone who has lost a loved one because of a drunk driver deserves better than what they are getting! You take a life you lose yours simple as that! Not just a slap on the wrist few years in jail.
I lost my sister to a friend of mine who i hooked her up with he was drunk n under the influence of drugs he flipped the car it was her him n 3 of our friends her and our other friend where seriously injured while the other 3 where barely injured my one friend who was in the back seat with my 2 friends who were injured( the one was like my lil sister i watched her grow up) my friend was the only one who had blunt force trauma to the head n chest which was what killed her but she had a broken arm and cuts and bruises all over her body the other girl had broken eye socket n arm one leg was completely shattered n the other had no skin n the ankle bone was shaved with a punctured lung n a puncture to the back of the head she didn't come out of her coma till 3 no tjs later n didn't know our best friend had passed. The guy she was dating only did 2 years but i will say the family asked for a light sentence because we do know it truly was an accident but its still the point he was driving drunk and killed someone he did 2 years came home a completely different person has been clean since the night of the incident he know is a world wide known artist and goes to schools and talks to kids about drinking and driving and doing drugs so i can say the 2 years was a life experiencing change for him
My husband was killed a year ago by a drunk driver. as of now he has not yet been sentenced. It took 10 months to even arrest him. We were told that he would get six years maximum. He gets six years and myself, my children and grandchildren get a lifetime of missing him
Anyone who chooses to drive under the influence of alcohol a kills somebody should get life in prison or worse, they chose to drive under the influence so they should be held accountable for taking a life. 6 to 20 years is not enough. Having to live a lifetime of losing someone you love by them choosing to drive should be a lifetime behind bars!
I believe that people need to be held accountable for their actions. I believe that justice should be served where is it due. Take a moment and ask your self if this was your Daughter, son, mother or father, brother or sister how would you feel? Would you not want the person responsible for ending their life to
Pay for what they did. Could you honestly say you wouldn’t be mad knowing that they get to walk free and breathe fresh air knowing your family member would never get to do either every again they would never get to do anything again.
My life was almost taken from an auto accident where the other driver was drunk and high from the supply the chief of the police gave him. The same chief was also who had written up the report of the events and was on the scene that day. I never got any justice served so I want it for Bailey🖤💜
