I do agree the war between men and women should have never been a thing in our communities. Period. Traumas run deep into our DNA and when they make physical distractions , worldly distractions, earthly distractions over the obligations to dive deep into our healing journeys instead most men are suppressed from being able to communicate in their own minds and whether true or not we all have a duty to address the battle wounds and realize we need eachother. Broken people do broken things, but the cycle CAN & WILL stop.
If this existed back in 2005, I would have never made the incorrect choice while I was a private in the military. It was the first time I experienced DV from a guy who did the same thing before me and after me. He eventually got kicked out of the military after his former fiance reported him; she was pregnant. Now he is a paranoid disgruntled Veteran muttering to himself all over the place. I would have been Gabby Petito had cops not helped me. We need something similar in the U.S for future daughters, granddaughters, and males.
My daughter is currently living in an abusive relationship. I would like for women to have this so another family isn't dismantled, secrecy is dangerous
He awarded my ex son in law full custody of my grandkids, the very one that pled guilty to aggravated domestic abuse against a child, the mother & her family have no contact with the children, he won't allow it, the family has nothing on them!
My sister got murdered in oct from domestic violence! If the law would have protected her she might be alive today! The law needs to stand up for anyone who is being abused.
DV has a worldwide presence in our day to day life. It’s sadly normalized. The fear is very real and more often than not, mineralized. It’s only when it’s too late does LE realize the validity of the victims fear and claims. This law is exactly what’s needed to help avoid the perpetrator before an attachment is ever formed. Protective orders do not work. The victims would need to sustain injury or death before LE will step in. This law is the next step needed to protect possible victims as well as pose as a deterrent for future repeat offenders.
