Victories in Domestic Abuse

For goodness sake it’s 2025 soon and surely after all this time there should be an offence of domestic abuse. Too many women have lost their lives from domestic abuse and it’s time the perpetrators are named as such. Without action nothing changes and more women are terrorised, this is unacceptable and needs to be zero tolerance in the U.K.

My ex was previously convicted of arson as part of a domestic abuse situation, was on parole when I met him. All this was unknown to me until too late and my life was put in danger. How these sorts of people are allowed to roam free to commit further offences in spite of supposedly being "supervised" is an utter disgrace. Unsuspecting people like myself need more protection from known offenders, it is a dereliction of duty by the justice system to not follow these things through properly.

Domestic violence and mental abuse is horrible nobody should ever suffer and its not fair when u dont get the justuce you deserve, because when u do flee domestic violence it still takes along time to heal. Domestic violence is not nice. Im also a survivour of domestic abuse.

I was in several Domestic Abuse Situations ... but did not realise that I was being abused ...so it is vital that Abusers are named to protect other vulnerable Women ...or Men ... in order to Expose and Incriminate the Perpetrator ... so that it is more difficult for them to reoffend in another Domestic Violence situation ...

Every survivor and child should live free from violence and coercion. Let’s make moves to end this. Being held accountable for abusive behaviours is another huge step forwards.

Brought up in Domestic violence. Children never get over it, mental health etc
Lorraine supported: Create a Specific Offence for Domestic Abuse
Progress has been made with the domestic abuse act but thresholds are too low for prosecution anyway. This change is essential as perpetrators are not recognised for the true nature of their crimes. Violence and abuse against women must end, and now is the time for the strongest ever message of zero tolerance- as the world seemingly slips backwards in its freedoms especially relating to women. Please sign this and keep the United Kingdom a progressive and moral country.
