Support Dr. Charlotte Proudman Against Unjust Disciplinary Proceedings

Support Dr. Charlotte Proudman Against Unjust Disciplinary Proceedings
The Issue
This week, I heard a member of Parliament on the radio saying that violence against women needs to be combatted. Yet, a barrister, who fights for exactly that, is being sentenced to a disciplinary proceeding. How is that the legal system addressing violence against women?
I am creating this petition out of a personal conviction and desire to support women, and to challenge a system that too often fails them. This is about fighting against a disciplinary proceeding filed against Dr. Charlotte Proudman. Dr. Proudman is currently facing backlash for boldly exposing a judge's "boys' club attitude." What was essentially a call for fairness and gender equality in our justice system is now being misconstrued as a breach of professional conduct.
It is deeply concerning that instead of instigating a much-needed discussion about gender bias in the justice system, Dr. Proudman's comments have led to a disciplinary proceeding. This petition calls to have the charges against Dr Proudman dropped.
With this petition, we express our solid support for Dr. Proudman, advocating for the recognition of her courage, not punitive measures. The time to transform the "boys' club" attitude is now. Join us in standing with Dr. Charlotte Proudman. Please sign and share this petition widely.
If you believe that people should not be prosecuted for speaking out against domestic abuse or against the misogyny prevailing our justice system, then please sign this petition now.
When is the proceeding? 10.00am Tuesday (10th December) to Friday (13th December).
Can I attend? Yes. To attend remotely or in person in London: contact 0203 432 7350 or email info@tbtas.org.uk
If I cannot attend, how else can I help? You can sign this petition or write a letter to the Judges at the Bar Tribunal Adjudication Service. Email info@tbtas.org.uk.
