It's important to protect due process by any means possible. So stopping the deportations of immigrants no matter the cause is the most just thing in the world. Empathy acts as the most powerful force in the entire world, as without community we would not have society. So dividing communities and families opposes society itself.
Kidnapping human beings, throwing them on a plane, shackled and defenseless, then sending them to another country without them having the ability to prove in a court of law that they have done nothing to deserve this cruel punishment is nothing short of inhumane! If you were being accused of a crime, don't you want to be afforded the same rights as everyone else? What if they just decide you're in fact guilty just because and send you to prison FOR LIFE?!? Just imagine it! A little empathy goes a very long way here!
"First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."
We cannot deny our fellow human beings rights they are just as deserving as we are to have them and if you strip one group of rights you're going to strip them all of their rights.
It is heart breaking to see great and caring people deported for none other than the fact they were not blessed to be born here. The diversity of this country is what has made us great. All of us comes from an immigrant who came here for a better life. Deport criminals. Not good citizens. Give them a path way to citizenship. And honor our commitment.
I believe america is great because of our immigrant brothers and sisters. Rounding them up and putting them in concentration camps is inhumane and will be another stain on American history!
Not all immigrants are criminals!! & they don’t deserve to be treated as that when some of them only wanted to & do contribute to this country in very positive ways! This country it’s made & great because it was made with immigrants! We all deserve to be treat as humans!!! no matter the status!
America is made of immigrants, that’s the beauty of the “land of the free”. Undocumented immigrants pay towards taxes when they don’t even get to reap the benefits. People getting sent away before a trial? This is inhumane and sounds much like a concentration camp.
I am really concerned about this situation because I am an immigrant since 1999. My family and I know the constant fight before this and now is worst every day. I hope we can stop this! Together we can!
