Nothing does more for improving my mental and physical health than riding the rail trail to and from work at UBC.

I think we can all see the immense value that the mission creek greenway adds to Kelowna. Imagine if we invested similarly in the rail trail! Additionally, the yellow-breasted chat is a protected species on the BC red list and has a known presence along the rail trail. I don't know enough about law to know if this construction violates the federal Species At Risk Act on paper, but it certainly does in spirit.
