I was 16 when I was raped by my best friends ex boyfriend. He got away with it and all of my friends turned against me because of the lies he told. He left me there and I had to walk home from the school footy oval where it happened covered in blood and act like nothing happened. I’m so sick of the justice system failing women and girls. I’m so sick of the patriarch continuing to embolden men to commit these acts and not fear consequence. I’m so sick of rape jokes and for being told to lighten up when I say they’re not funny. We need serious change in Australia and it should start with this case. Justice for Anastasia, I stand with you xo
