As the Netball Association President and a dedicated Executive member of 18 years, I stand in full support of the petition calling for the much-needed upgrade of Adcock Park in Gosford, NSW. Our community deserves a safe and well-maintained space to gather, play, and enjoy the sports we love Netball, Cricket, AFL, Oztag, Touch Football, Little Athletics.
Over the years, Adcock Park has become a vital hub for local sports enthusiasts, hosting over 6000 visitors every weekend. It's not just a sports facility but a cherished gathering place for families and friends, strengthening our community bonds. However, the current state of the park, with its deteriorating facilities and inadequate parking, poses a risk to public safety and diminishes the experience for all who visit.
Despite numerous meetings, repeated promises from both Labor and Liberal parties, little has been done to address these issues. We cannot continue to put our children, young people, and adults at risk by neglecting the very place that serves as a cornerstone of our community. Improved facilities would lead to safer play areas, enhanced spectating experiences, and smoother operations during busy weekends.
Investing in Adcock Park means investing in our community's health, happiness, and future. An upgraded park could also attract more visitors and stimulate local commerce. Especially the opportunity to hold State events at Adcock Park for netball. It's time for our government representatives to take tangible action and allocate the necessary funds to bring Adcock Park up to the standard it deserves.

Access to physical activity increases health and wellbeing and therefore reduces the burden on the local health system which is already overwhelmed.
Megan supported: Upgrade Adcock Park Facilities and Parking Now!Having been a member of cricket and AFL clubs using this venue we have had so many matches cancelled due to poor drainage our cricket club paid for net upgrades but as soon as we have rain they become unusable for days afterwards on busy days parking is a nightmare the new cricket pitch Adcock 5 is 200 meters from the toilet which if your in the middle of a 6 hr match is to far away
