My wife is a nail tech who works with these chemicals and even she understands the importance of not being under residential space or near animals. Greystar doing what they do to make that extra $1.

I used to live in the building and management did not care about the residents. They let Wabi play loud music that vibrated through my apartment waking up my newborn daughter. They lied and stated no noise problems to get me to move to a higher cost unit. Them getting a nail salon below the highest price units is not surprising and is a testament to their poor management skills and lack of concern for their residents.

As a resident of Lenox Hill @ 72nd Street/York, the overdevelopment of MSK hospitals for many years is ruining the character of the residential neighbor. Sirens galore, much more traffic, no more sunlight, years of noisy, dirty construction, and most of all, not much in return to improve our neighborhood. The greater good would be served better if they expanded into underserved neighborhoods. Community Board 8 needs to create a Land Use Strategy the would let these hospitals know if and where they can expand.
Patricia supported: Neighbors, Have a Say in How $4.3 Million is Spent in our Community
The community most impacted by the MSK Pavilion needs to have a say in 'community benefits'. I agree that the current agreement should be halted and a meaningful dialogue about how this money is to be spent can ensue. 24 Sycamores is a dreadful location with bathrooms that don't work, even after a massive renovation. Let's not invest good money after bad. The community needs to have a say in how this money is spent!!

Residents must be given the opportunity to voice their concern on projects that will impact their quality of life and community. Local NYC elected representatives have a responsibility to guarantee all their constituents have a voice in all issues where their tax money is being spent. Last time I checked we're still living in a democracy

Protect Barton Springs like the natural treasure it is—just like the cenotes in Mexico! In many parts of Mexico, visitors are required to shower before entering cenotes and only wear eco-friendly sunscreen to protect the delicate freshwater ecosystems from harmful chemicals like sunscreen, lotion, and sweat. Barton Springs deserves the same care. Every day, a visible oil slick forms on the water’s surface—this isn’t just unpleasant to swim in, it’s harmful to the endangered species that call Barton Springs home, like the Barton Springs Salamander. Requiring swimmers to rinse off before entering the water is a simple, effective step to keep our springs clean and safe for generations to come. Let’s be proactive stewards of this iconic Austin landmark—implement and enforce pre-swim shower rules and only eco-friendly sunscreen at Barton Springs.

I just moved to firefly. I have kids. We are planning on this being a long-term home. We do so much to keep our environment safe. I know nuclear power is a good way of making power, but at what cost to the local people? Build it away from everything, not right next to the current developing community.
Kjersty supported: Stop the Proposed Code Changes to Allow Nuclear Reactors in Eagle Mountain, Utah
We lived in the Pocatello ID area. People who worked at INL (Idaho Nuclear Laboratories) sometimes got leukemia. These cases are never reported as official numbers because they can’t prove that INL caused the cancer, but if you look at the incident rates for employees the answer is obvious the nuclear is not without consequences. Please do not sacrifice our citizens health in your quest for more money for businesses.
Camille supported: Stop the Proposed Code Changes to Allow Nuclear Reactors in Eagle Mountain, Utah
One of the reasons many residents of Eagle Mountain love it here is because of the family-centric community. Allowing for the construction and operation of small modular nuclear reactors and a natural gas power plant so close to where we all live, including our children, is not in the best interest of our community's health and safety, especially because of the increased risk of cancer.
