Class action lawsuits are a significant tool for holding corporations accountable and seeking justice for a group of individuals affected by the same issue. These lawsuits allow plaintiffs to pool resources and present a unified front against powerful entities, often in cases of consumer rights violations, discrimination, or environmental harm. Recent trends have shown an increase in class action filings related to data privacy breaches and employment disputes.
Key issues and themes in class action petitions include seeking compensation for harm suffered, reforming corporate practices, and promoting accountability. Notable petitions have called for fair treatment of employees, protection of consumer rights, and stricter regulations on corporate misconduct.

My black son was framed with drugs taken off a white child that was permitted to return to public common school while my son was not and has never gotten a hearing in front of the local school board. Fayette County Public Schools criminally charged my son with the fabricated police report as well and assaulted me while I was peacefully protesting what they were doing and failing to do. They have defamed my character and when I tried to re-enroll my son when they failed to have a hearing they barricaded the doors at the public common school and wouldn’t even let me enter the front office. The only hearing we have been afforded was in front of staff that have a direct financial interest in my son’s transfer in alternative schools and when I tried to record the hearing to prove it was not the board, they kicked us out for no reason. Fayette co public schools is extremely corrupt.
Tiktok has saved my life when I didn't even wanna be around anymore I got on titkok and the love and support on that app is truly a gods sent it's truly amazing how much love support you get on that app that app helps people find our loved ones that go missing and it helps people get out of a bad place that they could be in it helps people that get flooded and they have no way to get a hold of anyone there's so many small businesses on that app tiktok means the world to me and if it wasn't for tiktok alot of people wouldn't be here today this app has helped so many people around the world it's so much better then Facebook,Snapchat and Instagram. We love tiktok and we would appreciate it if you didn't take the only good app we have and we enjoy being on and being a creator. There is also veterans on tiktok that they share story's about what they been through. Tiktok means a lot to me because it's the only app I can express myself on...
We are Americans. But we’re not being treated as such. They never abolished slavery. They threw a few dollars our way and called it work. This is no longer a democracy. We want to save our nation and our people. This nation. Our people deserve love. Not a controlling, narcissistic, misogynistic, oligarchy. We’re tired of just surviving.
You hear people talk about “the American dream” a lot. Many think that the American dream is dead, but it is not. Tik Tok allowed MILLIONS of Americans to create a better life for themselves, to start and successfully run their own businesses, to build themselves up from the bottom. And the United States Government is trying to rip that away from us by making a decision which will negatively impact US businesses and US creators.
It is abhorrent, it is unjust, and we had no say in it.
I'm not someone who runs a business on tiktok, but I am someone who grew and changed for the better because of tiktok amd the voices shared within it's space. I found my confidence and courage because of Tiktok. I firmly believe in justice for injustice. So you kmow what, before these conflicts of interest get rowdy, let's use their own system to catch them at their own game. Hopefully, by signing this, my voice is a conduit for those who can't say anything. I am angry and I know so many who are too.
As a 19 year old gen Zer, much of my information and knowledge about the way the world works came from tik tok. I will never see how life is outside of the US the way I saw it on tik tok. I will never be able to question I will probably never be abye to question my own government or organize against bad corporations or even communicate with others like i did on tik tok. Unfiltered news will not be a thing on any other platform other than tik tok especially if it is sold to meta or any other American company. Tik tok was a powerful tool that we all used, and now it’s being ripped out our hands cause they don’t like that more and more Americans are being informed and aware of how shitty this country is.
Tiktok changed my life for the last 5yrs. I'd never be able to have the small business I have on another platform. Our government truly showed how little Americans voices actually matter. This isn't just about the ban of an app. This is over half the US population coming together in community. This is over 170million Americans voices being silenced. This is millions of smal businesses being ripped away. And our government cares more about rumors. The government does not have our best interests in mind. Our voices don't matter......let's make them matter. Let's make them hear us!!! We the people!!!!
TikTok let regular Americans live their dreams. Is that not what this country was supposed to be all about? It funded their passions, paid their debts, and even let hundreds, probably thousands of people buy homes that they wouldn’t have been able to otherwise. It filled a hole in our communities that we didn’t even know was there. Small businesses became well known and were able to change the lives of millions of people because of it. Taking it away only hurts the little guy. It kills the dream.
On top of the community I’ve built on TikTok, I’ve also been able to earn enough money to not have to work 60-70 hours a week at my job to make ends meet anymore. The financial aspect is huge to me and my family, and in order to pay my mortgage payment I’ll have to go back to working those insane hours and not seeing my family if TikTok doesn’t come back. I am the sole earner in my household as my husband is disabled, so TikTok has been life changing for us.
