I had been a tenant under SHA for many years. I can honestly say that I have never dealt with the level of mistreatment and utter disregard of property issues and or complaints...please get justice at least for current tenants, as I have been evicted, yet living in less than accommodating conditions for quite some time.

These people need a healing touch, not a baton. We are in the dark ages in MA, and the disability law center has been reporting the sub par conditions of Bridgewater for years. It’s time they file a law suit so that something changes. No more talks and reports without accountability! The most mentally ill in this state deserve better. There is a huge gap between this population and the care they need, so they deteriorate and fall into tragedy while their families watch helplessly. Gov Healey needs to step up and put action to match her words. The DMH run facility Worcester recovery is a great example of proper leadership. They need to replicate that at Bridgewater. The Severe mental illness population is ignored by this state in its policies, and left to flounder and fail. Then, once they’ve been failed, they’re punished. This is the definition of unfair.

There’s a need for more DMH facilities to treat these patients so they can have a chance at life but if they are in jail setting it would not be beneficial for their well being
Rosemary supported: Transfer Bridgewater State Hospital to the Department of Mental Health, the Experts!The Commonwealth puts money in the budget each year to account for the bi-annual reports written by the Disability Law Center (DLC), a protection and advocacy agency. The DLC has been afforded access to Bridgewater State Hospital (BSH) for years. And for YEARS this protection agency has been recommending that BSH be transferred from the Department of Corrections (DOC) to the Department of Mental Health (DMH). Why is the Commonwealth choosing to ignore the recommendation of the protection and advocacy agency they hire year after year? Why is this recommendation falling on deaf ears?
The men at BSH are real people. They have real lives. They may suffer from a no- fault brain disease, but this does not mean they should be cast aside and forgotten about. With proper care/treatment they can live full lives. They deserve proper therapeutic medical treatment, just like anyone else with a no-fault disease. The DOC does not over see people who have been diagnosed with cancer, diabetes or Alzhiemer's disease, so why does MA think it is appropriate for the DOC to over see men who have been diagnosed with a Severe Mental Illness (SMI)? It just does not make sense and MUST change.
The Commonwealth has stood up for women, it has stood up for the LGBTQIA community, it has stood up for immigrants. It is long over due, but the Commonwealth must now stand up for those with Severe Mental Illness (SMI) and transfer oversight of Bridgewater State Hospital from the Department of Corrections to the Department of Mental Health !

Many of these individuals are at BSH because the state failed to provide these individuals the medical care that was needed in the first place. Severe mental illness requires appropriate psychiatric services and treatment in a therapeutic, non-prison environment. Mental illness is not a crime yet Massachusetts continues to treat it that way. Moving oversight of BSH from the DOC to DMH is the first step to help change this!

If you go to a lawyer and sho that father is drug addict, beating abuser- first thing you learn that it’s 50/50 best case, and that judges will just believe lies without proof.
First hand witnessed lawyers yell, lie. Its not family court, its kangaroo court.
Mecklenburg county family court is a lawless ground.
Judges “dont like” domestic violence. DA drops charges telling victims that the jury doesnt like domestic violence.
Police officers and other public officials cases get sealed and they get custody no matter what- as favor and political agenda. Children are left crying, begging mothers, and put with abusive fathers.
Jena Culler, Christy Mann, McCallum, Alyssa Levine- all pushing their woke agenda against mothers and rule in corrupt bias way. Children dud die under their watch.
Its time to let them all ho and expose the court for its deep seeded decade long corruption scheme
Linda supported: End Family Court Corruption and Bias - Charlotte NCJudge Karen D. McCallum had my case. I’ve since connected with over ten victims of McCallum. There was a change.org petition with over 1000 signatures to remove her. There is a video of McCallum clenching her lips and going on a power trip against a mother, and sentencing mother to two months in prison. Judicial overreach. McCallum was not only sadistic ego maniac, but she was taking money from her favorite lawyers and ruled in their favor. There are appeals in which McCallum clearly is found to violate constitutional rights.
Then, when all bubbled up too much, the Judicial Standards Committee swooped it all under the rug. They had two bad judges: McCallum and Alyssa Levine. They simply scrambled them up and moved them. Shortly thereafter, Judge Davis received a misdemeanor and was moved to family court. They threat family court as the toilet, a time out place, where it doesn't matter.
Judges are moved after complaints to silence us.
But the core of corruption- Judge Culler and Judge Mann remain for decades.
Judge Belk challenged the corruption, and he is the only judge to be removed.
This is not only the family court, this is a ring of corruption at NC State Bar, Judicial Standards Committee, CMPD, DA, and all layers of Mecklenburg.
Shame on Judge McCallum for ruining childrens lifes, and hurting mothers, leaving life time scars. I hope her karma comes sooner. Same is said fir the orgers

That's the day I will be more vocal about the horrible experience I had with Mecklenburg family court. There is collusion between local lawyers and the judges to extend cases. No other court in all US is established for profit as this is.
