The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is a crucial agency that safeguards consumers financial rights and ensures fair practices in the financial industry. Recent events have highlighted the importance of strong consumer protections, particularly in areas like debt collection, financial transparency, and predatory lending.
Petitions under the CFPB topic address key issues such as advocating for stricter regulations on payday loans, improving financial education for marginalized communities, and holding big banks accountable for their deceptive practices. These petitions underscore the need for stronger consumer advocacy and demand action from policymakers to protect individuals from financial exploitation.
One notable petition with thousands of signatures calls for increased oversight of debt collection agencies to prevent abusive practices and protect consumers from harassment. By supporting these petitions, you can join the movement for financial justice and help create a more equitable and transparent financial system for all.

They terminate us on February 11 and here we are March 1, and still unable to collect any unemployment benefits or food stamps to feed ourselves. And on top of that, they are legally canceling our assurance before the 30 days is over with.
Getting laid off suddenly and unexpectedly is incredibly stressful and can exacerbate pre-existing medical conditions or cause new ones for people. This impacts not only employees who lost their jobs but also their families who have relied on them for health insurance coverage. Please do the right thing and allocate the appropriate human resource capital to process the paperwork so these individuals and their families can access the 31-day grace period and move forward with making plans for alternative coverage once the grace period ends.
I’ve actually tried to get help 4-5x and waited. No one, I mean no one has acknowledged my request at all. I wouldn’t be on this app had I really not needed it. It had made me feel embarrassed and also like I’m begging. Yes I know that I’m new to this and my score is fairly low but you have to start somewhere. I’m a 47 year old single mother who takes care of her granddaughter. Yes I have a good paying job BUT I’ve been laid off and I’m just asking for a little help at the moment. I pay back. I’m an honest person and most of all I’m pretty sure I’m going to need you guys help again somewhere down the line. From the looks of it, it seems like they only help out the same exact people over and over again. I mean I have no start somewhere to build a great repor. I’m just wanting a chance please. Thanks and I hope someone sees this and is willing to help me and others with this same issue.
Solo was there for me during a time of crisis. Any little bit I qualified for helped me in crunch. From the bottom of my heart, I thank this service, and hope others can find short term relief using them as well
