Censorship is a pressing issue that affects freedom of speech and expression worldwide. Recent events have highlighted the growing concerns around online censorship, government control of media, and content moderation on social platforms. Petitions on this topic call for transparency in censorship practices, protection of artistic freedom, and combating political censorship.
One petition with thousands of signatures demands accountability from social media companies in moderating content, citing cases of unjust censorship and bias. Another petition focuses on protecting journalists and artists from government censorship, emphasizing the importance of free speech in a democratic society.

Banning sexual content has always been a slippery slope. First it's anything outrightly explicit, but different people have different definitions of what sexual content is, and bans like this disproportionately harm the LGBTQ+ community because of it. The kind of people that fight against pornography for "family values" are the same kind of people who would label the very existence of someone like me as "explicit". Bans like this help no one and cause far more harm than good. And even if you don't agree with the existence of explicit content, why should payment processors have the right to dictate what we can and can't purchase? It's a direct violation of personal freedoms. No company should be allowed to decide where and what I use my own hard earned money to purchase.
As someone with mild autism, anime, manga, and games are my comfort zone. They help me calm down from what's going on in the real world. And yet credit card companies and those activists are taking those away from us. Look; if you guys don't like what you see, then that's fine. But that doesn't mean you get to censor stuff other people with brains (i.e. common sense) enjoy! Even some women with brains enjoy anime/manga/games, too (we mostly enjoy them for the powerful stories, and bright colors)! It's like you wanna buy an apple at the grocery store, and yet the credit card company declines your purchase, because apples are "too sweet". If censorship takes over the entire anime/manga/gaming media, there won't be any left for us. In fact, we wouldn't have fun, or work on stuff we want at all, and that will destroy the entire entertainment industry, and it'll collapse economically. Fiction is fiction, and reality is reality.
