My celiac husband and son have had a reaction each time they tried cheerios. They are clearly cross contaminated! For someone with a high intolerance for gluten, this is a big deal! And so frustrating when my son goes to a friends house or school function and is served these because they are labeled as “gluten free.”
I strongly oppose Aloha Poke Co.'s exploitative actions against Kanaka Maoli families and their attempt to trademark and profit from culturally significant words like 'Aloha' and 'Poke.' These words carry deep cultural, spiritual, and historical meaning for Native Hawaiians and are not commodities to be owned or weaponized against the very people who created them. Aloha is not just a greeting—it represents respect, presence, and the breath of life shared among people. Poke is not just a dish—it is a connection to Hawaiian traditions and sustenance.
Forcing Native Hawaiian-owned businesses to rebrand their identities is a blatant act of cultural erasure and colonial greed. This behavior perpetuates the commodification of Hawaiian culture while adding to the gentrification and displacement of marginalized communities. I stand in solidarity with Kanaka Maoli and all Indigenous peoples fighting against this form of cultural appropriation and exploitation. Aloha Poke Co. must cease using 'Aloha' and 'Poke' in their branding immediately and recognize that these words are not theirs to own or monopolize. Let’s honor and protect the integrity of Hawaiian culture and the people who continue to sustain it.
We need the house to pass the specialty license again, which allows us to keep working. Both House Bill 735 and SB 1142 were passed and allowed us to be extended to June 30, 2025, of this year, and we haven't heard anything yet as of this date. Please pass this bill or just include it like it were passed the bill so we can have our specialty license again as contractors. Because without them, we can't work to put food on our tables and keep the economy working.

Blåhaj is a stuffed animal that is very important to me, as a nonbinary person underneath the trans umbrella. Mine has been with me for almost a year now, as a friend and as a symbol of solidarity and resistance. The first time my now (trans) ex-girlfriend came into my room, her first instinct was to hold it by its tail with a huge smile on her face and say, "Fucking transgender shark." I consider that to be an iconic moment both for my blåhaj and my relationship with her. She was an egg at the time, and I believe her encounter with my blåhaj might have made her comfortable to explore her identity further, which makes me so proud. Just recently, I gifted my younger transgender friend a blåhaj for his birthday. I think he greatly appreciated it, considering that he's been experiencing some issues with transphobic family recently. He sent me the link to this petition, actually, after I sent him a link to an article explaining blåhaj's significance! Blåhaj is a plushie that already unites us within the trans community, and IKEA's BEYOU Blåhaj celebrates that unity. For the sake of my ex-girlfriend, my younger friend, me, and our community, I implore IKEA to bring back the BEYOU Blåhaj. 🏳️⚧️🦈
I purchased 2022 Tesla Model S AWD in November 2022 for roughly $102k pre tax (no credits) and within months Tesla dropped the price and today (Nov 2024) the a new model S AWD with the same configuration costs $72k. $30k drop in 2 year? Tesla knew they were going to drop the prices yet still chose to overcharge their customers and not offer any incentive to buy out the old model or provide a credit for purchasing a new one. THIS IS UNETHICAL! BTW, This is my 3rd Tesla since 2013, so clearly Tesla doesn't care about long term Customer Loyalty!
Uber is making a giant mistake as they silently slashing Uber Walkers. Uber, you said that you are not phasing out Walkers. However, by saying that you are encouraging walkers to get a bike means that you are phasing us out. If you are going saying that you are not phasing us out, yet we've been reduced to 20% of receiving orders, then what is the point of the walker method in the app? I don't understand that! You have the ability to make it easier for everyone to succeed in making money in the app. Uber walkers have been working hard before you've made it difficult for them to do what they used to do proficiently. Please, return the radius back to what it was. That is one of the differentiating features that makes you stand out from other side-gig apps. Makes us stand out as delivery carriers. It makes no sense to remove quietly remove the feature.
My son just told me that the formula that they changed makes his skin dry and the smell is not the same. Why change something that worked, the new Irish clean does not do the same thing bring back the original Irish spring
Kelly’s cucumber sandwiches literally changed my life. I would show up to events just because I knew these sandwiches would be in attendance. Now I haven’t left the house in over a year and I’ve lost my friends. Bring back the party rye! I need my life back!
