As a volunteer responsible for a rescue I know first hand the struggle as a result of the lack of funding, increase in surrenders, reduce adoption rates and ever increasing vet costs. Something has to change!

We have our third senior foster cat. The first lost her home when her owner went into Hospice care; the second found himself without a home just short of his 16th birthday and our third was a long time street kitty doing it tough. Without Rescue organisations none of these would have had the chance that meant everything to them. Like our Prime Minister, please prioritise kindness and support refuges and rescues.

The rising prices at Kmart have completely turned my life upside down. I was forced to sell my Hungry Jack’s uniform just to afford a winter jumper because the cold was unbearable and Kmart’s prices left me with no choice. On top of that, I had to buy three essential items that I desperately needed, but the cost was so high that I ended up selling my house just to pay for them. Losing my uniform meant losing my job, and without any income or a place to live, I became homeless. It’s heartbreaking how something as simple as buying basic necessities at Kmart led to losing everything I had.
This is why I’m so happy there are still good people in this world who care enough to make petitions demanding lower Kmart prices. Knowing that others are standing up against unfair costs gives me hope and strength. I’m deeply passionate about this topic because I’ve lived through the devastating impact of rising prices firsthand, and I want to see change so that no one else has to suffer like I did.
ella supported: Kmar needs lower prices NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I was one of the vet nurses who treated Evie when she arrived at the clinic and this was one of the worst cases of negligence by a business trusted to take care of someone beloved family member. There needs to be a form of accountability to prevent further loss of life. If there had been maybe Evie would still be alive today. My heart goes out to her family and Evie you will never be forgotten
