To everyone who supported our Justice for Charli petition — thank you.
We wanted to update you on what happened after you added your voice.
Following the concerns raised about grooming practices, formal complaints were made to the RSPCA, Animal Welfare, the Veterinary Surgeons Board and the Animal Justice Party. The matter received attention on social media, and grooming industry professionals publicly discussed concerns surrounding some of the techniques shown.
We also raised our concerns with the Dog Grooming Association of WA. During this period, one of its members applied for a Misconduct Restraining Order against us, which was subsequently dismissed by the court.
Despite everything that happened, the groomers at the centre of our concerns have continued to be able to operate.
For us, this experience highlighted something much bigger: there is still more work to be done to strengthen the systems designed to protect our dogs in Australia.
So rather than stopping, we decided to build something positive.
Introducing FUGITIVEZ 🐾

FUGITIVEZ is an Australian app for dog lovers, built around one purpose: helping keep dogs safe.
One of its key features uses AI biometric nose-print technology to help identify registered dogs.
Register your dog’s unique nose print and profile. If they go missing, a member of the community can photograph their nose and scan it through FUGITIVEZ. If a match is identified, the owner can be contacted through the app. If there isn’t a match, the finder can record handover details when the dog is taken to a vet or ranger.
FUGITIVEZ also provides live sighting updates, helping owners understand the direction a missing dog may be travelling, and local community notifications when a dog is reported lost or stolen.
