After watching numerous video clips through Horse Plus and seeing a 3 year old Tennessee walker broke and tossed in the slaughter pipeline. A 3 year old that should be walking perfect with its held high to now after the Big Lick broke her. She can barely walk. Shes limping with every step. Her tail ligaments that allowed her tail to move is no longer able to. It just hangs there. All because they cut those ligaments. Her front feet is scarred from the various chemicals they applied to cause pain with every step. The chains and the 5 inch plus high stacks (high heels). Its un -natural. Horse Plus had to humanely euthanize her. Cause there was nothing they could do to fix her. She was broken. Please stop the Big Lick. Its cruel to the horses. Stop throwing horses away in the slaughter pipeline because of the Big Lick. The Big Lick looks absolutely stupid for the horses to have the artificial gait. Tennessee walking horses are beautiful with their natural gait. Not so much with the faux gait.
Animals. Are. Living. Creatures. The lack of empathy this world holds for innocent babies like the animals at NJ Exotic Pets is disgusting. The enclosures in this establishment brought tears to my eyes. Dead animals, animals dirty, covered in mites and gnats and so stressed they are running around their ‘enclosures’ (if you can even call them that) and attempting to escape. This world is so cruel to animals who just want to survive. I pray everyday that changes would be made and I sincerely hope that this store will shut down for all of the animals sake.
My father is a Saint Augustine native who left for a while and moved back when I was nine months old. I lived here through my childhood, into adulthood, and now again in midlife. I respect the tourism industry and the need for it however, it doesn’t seem St. Augustine is equipped for the amount amount of traffic traffic that is now come to our town. It is inhumane to have these horses on the street and bumper-to-bumper traffic as they are it’s time for change.
