Ticehurst is a small village, with 1 shop, 1 chemist, 1 village hall and a close knit community, if we lose the doctors surgery it means that the many elderly residents who reside here and no longer drive would have to go to the next closest Dr which is 4 miles away! How do they get there I here you ask, well that would be via a bus that only runs once every hour and is very unreliable and has no seating at the bus stops. So an appointment would mean a considerable amount of standing in freezing weather for possibly hours right by a secondary school. And should you end up having an appointment at school pickup/drop off time FORGET THE BUS. We need a local surgery. The village needs a local surgery.
Losing it will cost lives!
Ticehurst, Wadhurst and the surrounding villages are all expanding with houses being built at pace with no thought for local infrastructure. Buses are not regular enough for those that don’t drive and for those that do the parking and congestion in Wadhurst is already an issue. Removing local services to replace them with more housing is not sustainable. Any new development needs to include a surgery.

My mum and sister died of breast cancer. Aunts, uncle's and cousins have had various forms of it. Some have survived while some haven't. My brother has had it twice and has survived. I support Cancer Research UK because of this. Please help find a cure. Thanks.
