The atrocities against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank must end now. I raise my voice a as Christian committed to Gods vision of peace, justice, compassion and dignity for the world, no exceptions. Peace, Salem, Shalom in all fullness. Genocide is a crime against humanity.
As a Christian and a follower of Jesus, I am committed to comforting those who mourn, supporting those who long for justice, feeding the hungry, protecting those who are persecuted, and working to bring peace in war-torn places. For all these reasons, I support Women’s Voice for Gaza in its call to stop the war on Palestinians in Gaza, to provide food to stop the famine, and to provide health care to those who are ill and wounded. May the civilized world rally in support of a ceasefire, an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands, and for the creation of a nation-state for the Palestinian people. And thereby, address the root causes of the systemic violence the Palestinians presently must endure.
Above all, love. Love your God with all your heart, love your neighbour as yourself. Jesus teaches us to resist and subvert empire, Palestine is calling us into this sacred resistance and we MUST answer. Each Palestinian life IS God. Each child, each adult IS Jesus, and that which we would do to them, we do do Jesus. We must stand with them, in solidarity, we must act with them to stop this genocide.
There has been too much silence for too long on this issue. My hope is that with the additional voices asking for change NOW, there might be a real solution for a people that have suffered for generations.
Consider this my way of being able to protest just about anywhere in the US just so I can fight back against the corruption that is tearing our nation apart.
Even though I am unable to drive due to epilepsy, and there is no bus service in my neighborhood, that does not matter. I am absolutely sick of Trump and his cronies having their way with just about any and all of us.
We are people as a whole, and we shall NOT let him deny ANY of us what we need to be able to live our lives.
