It is time for a Chief Justice who will bring judicial integrity and civility back to our Supreme Court.  It is time for a Chief Justice who believes that the legislative and executive branches of government deserve the Court’s respect and who understands the Court’s function is to make decisions based on the law, not personal or political agendas.   It is time for Justice Jean Toal to retire. It is time for Justice Costa Pleicones to be elected Chief Justice.  

The Supreme Court should not be the “bully pulpit” that Justice Jean Toal has created.  Justice Pleicones is dedicated to following the law, not creating it.  Justice Pleicones is not an activist who seeks to usurp the power of both the executive and legislative branches of government.  Unlike Justice Jean Toal:  He won’t order local governments to spend money in ways that suit him or his friends.  He won’t “administratively” negate the statutes you pass.  He won’t hire lobbyists with our tax dollars to control your vote.  Justice Pleicones is the model of judicial restraint. 

We are asking you to stand up for our State and to honor our Constitution by electing Justice Costa Pleicones Chief Justice.  You have an opportunity to restore dignity and respect for our high court.   Elect Costa Pleicones as Chief Justice and you also will have the opportunity to fill the seat he leaves vacant with a strong Justice who will decisions based on the law, not personal or political agendas.
