EU, the governments of Russia, Ukraine, USA. Belarusians demand inflicting the most effective sanctions against the dictator Lukashenko!

Мы, нижеподписавшиеся граждане Республики Беларусь, требуем введения максимально широких и эффективных санкций против режима Лукашенко.

Мы отдаем себе отчет, что санкции в первую очередь наносят вред экономике режима. И это несет определенные риски для страны.
Вместе с тем мы уверены, что каждый день пребывания Лукашенко и его правительства у власти наносит куда более тяжелый вред. Мы переживаем опаснейший правовой дефолт, деградацию экономики, насилие со стороны силовиков.

Правительство не принимает эффективных мер для борьбы с коронавирусной инфекцией, замалчивает статистику. Это ведет к большому количеству жертв.

Каждый день несет в себе риски эскалации насилия и кровопролития со стороны государства. Беларусы уже доказали всем, что мы мирные люди, отданные сердцем родной земле. И не хотим отходить от этого пути. Мы не можем терпеть пытки, убийства и насилие на нашей земле.

Мы трудолюбивый народ, который сможет преодолеть экономические последствия действий режима. А вернуть жизни и здоровье пострадавших людей не сможет никто.

Мы просим рассмотреть следующие санкции, но не ограничиваться ими:

• Расширение списка персональных санкций против людей, участвующих в репрессиях против беларусского народа.
• Введение экономических санкций против предприятий, на которых преследуют людей за их политические взгляды.
• Введение экономических санкций против предприятий, на которых систематически нарушают иные права человека.
• Введение экономических санкций против продукции, произведенной структурами МВД РБ. В частности, против продукции, сделанной руками заключенных.
• Введение экономических санкций против бизнеса, напрямую поддерживающего Лукашенко и его семью.
• Произвести расследование о незаконно нажитом имуществе, принадлежащем Лукашенко и его семье за пределами РБ.
• Не предоставлять никаких кредитов правительству Лукашенко. Полностью заморозить все программы помощи государству или перенаправить их напрямую на помощь гражданскому обществу.
• Рассмотреть вопрос о временном отключении системы SWIFT для РБ.
• Признать подразделения МВД РБ, участвующие в насилии против мирных людей, террористическими организациями.
• Начать расследования в рамках универсальной юрисдикции преступлений режима Лукашенко.
• Не признавать даже частичную легитимность Лукашенко , в том числе через вручение верительных грамот.

We, the undersigned citizens of the Republic of Belarus, demand inflicting the most wide and effective sanctions against the dictator Lukashenko and his regime!

We are aware of the fact that the sanctions afflict damage to the economics of the regime first of all, and that it bears certain risks to the country. However, we are convinced that every day while Lukashenko and his government remain in power inflicts much more serious damage. We experience the most dangerous lawlessness, economic meltdown, and brutal violence from the police and other forces maintained by Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Lukashenko’s government does practically nothing to fight the coronavirus infection, to protect the medical workers and all the citizens, and hides the true numbers of the ill and of the victims of the virus, which only causes more and more victims everyday.

Every day brings the escalation of violence and bloodshed by the governmental forces. The Belarusians have already proved to all the world that we are peaceful people, and love our country with all our hearts. We wish to stick to that peaceful way. We cannot bear being tortured, raped, brutally beaten and slaughtered in our beloved country.

We are diligent and laborious people, and we will overcome the economic consequences of the government’s current actions with time. But no one can revive the victims.

We urge you to consider the following sanctions (but not to be abridged to them):

• Widen the lists of personal sanctions against the people who persecute and torture Belarusians.
• Inflict economic sanctions upon the enterprises which prosecute and fire their employees for their political opinions.
• Inflict economic sanctions upon the enterprises which break other human rights systematically.
• Inflict economic sanctions upon the products of the enterprises belonging to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, in particular made by the prisoners.
• Inflict economic sanctions upon the enterprises which support Lukashenko and his family directly.
• Investigate all the illegally earned possessions of Lukashenko and his family that are abroad Belarus.
• Do not grant Lukashenko and his government any credits or loans, stop all the programs of help to his government, or divert them directly to the society of Belarus.
• Consider the temporal disconnect from the SWIFT system for Belarus.
• Recognize all the forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs who use violence against innocent peaceful people as the terroristic organizations.
• Start the investigation of Lukashenko’s crimes within the frame of universal jurisdiction.
• Do not recognize even partial legitimacy of Lukashenko, including through the presentation of letters of credentials.
