The development has started from JHB side, now because Ext 23 is on the other side of Zuurbekom, far from this 2 Ext (23and24) Thas why they cross within ward 17."

The above are the words expressed by our Councilor Itani Gladys Khoza in our local whatsapp chat group where she clearly expresses that the above is a done deal with no comment from the Zuurbekom community. It is proposed that a sewer system must be built in Zuurbekom plots to cater for Protea yet Zuurbekom doesn't have a sewer system to cater for its residents. We are asked to benefit neighboring communities but with no benefit of same resources. It is about time that Gladys takes us seriously as these kind of issues will never go unaddressed any longer. This project needs to stop its operations until we, Zuurbekom residents, are given an opportunity to express our displeasure/opinions about this issue.
