ZEPETO has become a global platform for creativity, connection, and digital expression. But recently, many users—including myself—have faced sudden restrictions and penalties without clear explanations or guidance. This lack of transparency not only frustrates users but also threatens the creative freedom and trust that ZEPETO was built on.

 

We are calling on ZEPETO to implement a fair, clear, and responsive system( no ai ) for content moderation—one that respects the users who make the platform thrive.

The ZEPETO platform has increasingly penalized users—including myself—without adequate transparency or a meaningful path for appeal. As a loyal and engaged member of the community who invests significant time, creativity, and money into the platform, it is both frustrating and demoralizing to face sudden restrictions with no clear justification or actionable feedback.

 

Currently, when restrictions are imposed, users are only provided with a general violation category (e.g., “inappropriate content”) and a date—no specific post, image, or explanation is included. For users who create and share content frequently—daily or even multiple times per day—this vague notification system makes it nearly impossible to identify the issue, learn from it, or take corrective action.

 

This lack of clarity and accountability erodes the trust that digital communities are built on. It not only limits our ability to grow as creators but also discourages participation in a space that should celebrate expression, connection, and innovation. Too many users are left feeling silenced and powerless, with no opportunity to defend their content or improve based on clear standards.

 

We call on ZEPETO to urgently adopt a more transparent, fair, and user-focused restriction system. Specifically, we propose the following improvements:

 

Precise Content Identification: Include direct references—such as image thumbnails, post IDs, or links—to the specific content being flagged.

Detailed Explanations: Clearly outline what rule was violated and how the flagged content breached platform guidelines.

• Accessible and Timely Appeals: Establish a responsive appeal process where users can receive timely feedback, ask questions, and resolve misunderstandings.

Ongoing Education and Support: Provide regular updates, reminders, or visual examples to help users stay informed and aligned with evolving platform standards.

 

ZEPETO has the potential to lead as a vibrant hub for global creativity and digital community-building. However, this potential is being undermined by opaque and inconsistent moderation practices. Fairness, clarity, and communication are not optional—they are essential to fostering a thriving, respectful environment.
