After the tragic death of 1 of the 2 dogs left locked in a hot car in Cairns today as a result of onlookers not being able to access the obviously distressed dogs, something must be done. Babies & children are also victims of this situation & will die just as quickly, 7 mins is all it can take. Police & RACQ will take longer & a life may be lost. I'm calling on the Qld Attorney General, Yvette D'Ath to remove any criminality & any future financial liability associated with the breaking of a car window to "Save A Life", whether it be human or animal, providing the 'perpertrator' provides proof of the initial phone call to 000 & the RACQ, prior to breaking the window & provide any photographic evidence they have. I have previously asked Police Commissioner Stewart what the 'consquences' of such an action would be & he could/would not provide a sufficient reply. Having the Law behind good Samaritans will no doubt save lives, please help me to achieve this. Thank You.
