Vote out Matt Koval from Youtube creators group

The Issue

Vote out Matt Koval from the Youtube Creators team. Did a video that he is going remove the negative feedback counter based on "research" he didn't seem to go into detail and said to a commenter one of his videos on his own personal Youtube account "he felt like it".

Youtube Update to YouTube's dislike count by YouTube Creators At the moment I see: 13/11/21 05:02 Views: 1014120 Comments: 71378 UP: 11k DOWN: 67k Ratio 1:6.09

Matt Kova 2:52: "You are going to get use to it pretty quickly and keep in mind other platforms don't even have a Dislike button."

I don't know of any platform that does this and I would not have joined based on that principle. So it is big a betrayal for those (especially me as a Premium paying member) that depend on the negative counter. He didn't say which and I find that dishonest within itself. I also find it is insulting and grossly deceptive to hide vital information about the quality of said videos that are disliked by many due to possible poor quality/clickbait stuff that will result me not been warned first.

On Matt Koval own personal channel to be fair respectfully good to his subscribers, content and well liked by them but admitted "he felt like doing it" this selfish and terrible decision:

It's really a shame that YouTube used you as a "nice guy" for their agenda. I'm sorry Matt, I sincerely hope the paycheck they gave you will be worth it when you step back and really think about what they are doing. They aren't doing this for the "small channels" and "safety" and it's apparent from the reaction from across the platform that the majority of users know that.

Why feel sorry for a representative of the oldest profession?

"I get how it can seem that way, but I actually volunteered to communicate it to you guys as a part of my job, because I felt that hiding the counter would be helpful (I know, not the most popular opinion). Otherwise it would have just been a faceless blog post announcing it - which I dunno, maybe you'd prefer. But creators have hated that sort of communication in the past.

See that? He felt like it despite 67 thousand disapprovals and 11 thousand for it. Now isn't so wrong?

Would you shop on Amazon and Ebay without any negative feedback counters to indicate there maybe something wrong with an item or even a seller? or use Trustpilot to check on a reputation of a company with the negative counters hidden?

If a content creator is knowingly making misleading crap content either spam, they are benefitting from ot in some way and it is within the Youtube rules, do you think they are going to care about the negative feedback that they can only see?

This change can also be open to abuse like paying large amounts of people to leave postitive feedback to promote the channel.

I am for reform the feedback system in a way that doesn't affect my ability to see the statistics especially the thumbs down counter.

I thought of one solution, maybe auto like or dislike depending on the viewer's first comment rating and make them traceable to the content creator so they can see why and it if abuse or irritational they can have it reviewed to be removed. That's got to be better than blinding me when trying to find decent content.

With that mentality, "I feel like doing this" so I am going to apply to everything and everybody and assume it is going to be okay for them. He says about the decision not being "popular" I find it more irrational and selfish.

What do you think?
