I want all popular social media platforms to stop posting Ronnie McNutt's suicide video
The Issue
This is the story of Ronnie McNutt.
Ronnie McNutt live streamed his Facebook suicide, when he got really drunk. Some friends are claiming that he was talking about suicide but didn't know that he was actually going to follow what this plan on Facebook livestream on August 31st. During the livestream, many people who were watching Ronnie's live stream, reported to Facebook about him talking about harming himself and possibly killing himself over camera. Facebook did not remove the live stream, and found nothing wrong with it. They had the video up for 2 days to remove it after the damage was done. Ronnie McNutt is a PTSD veteran who has struggled with so much mental health issues and was dealing with personal issues such as breaking up with his longtime girlfriend as I heard from other friends. There are also been rumors about him losing his job and losing his house, but I'm not for sure if those rumors are true.
Ronnie McNutt was only 33 years old when he took his life on August 31st over Facebook livestream.
After a couple days of his live stream ended with a tragic ending, Ronnie McNutt shot himself in the face and it was a very graphic gruesome suicide.
Now here comes things that turned worse for Ronnie's family and Ronnie himself. Someone decided to screen record Ronnie McNutt's suicide and started posting it all over Reddit, 4chan, Twitter, Instagram, and the most popular one was TikTok! TikTok is a platform for younger generations and young adults who can create their platforms such as dancing, art skills, mental health awareness, and etc. During the times on September 1st & now present as they still have not removed any suicide videos. TikTok has not responded to any users pleas to remove the suicide video that traumatized many kids from the ages 8 to 16 years old including adults that were traumatized. Users of TikTok we'll put the horrific suicide on your FYP which stands for for your page with it is an algorithm on TikTok to know what's trending. Now the newest trend is to stitch videos, meaning putting cute videos such as cats and dogs playing and then cuts to a jump scare of Ronnie commiting suicide graphically to young viewers. Many parents have complained that their kids have been a traumatized and need extensive therapy.
YouTube has also has not removed any Ronnie McNutt suicide videos and even let someone put an ad over the suicide video to make money off his suicide! Do you know how wrong and sick that is? Ronnie needs justice especially his family including his mom who saw him end his own life graphically on Facebook livestream. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Reddit, TikTok, 4chan, and all other types of social media have not spoke out or issued an apology to try to get the Ronnie McNutt video to be removed. To this day it is 09/11/2020 and we still cannot contain the horrific suicide video. Now people are making it like it's a joke, making memes, and even making merchandise out of Ronnie's tragic death! It is so horrible how people continue to spread such stigma against suicide especially for men that have a hard time speaking up about suicide. They are told to man up and you have to keep moving on.
September is suicide prevention awareness month, and with Ronnie's death shows there are so much stigma and toxic masculinity for him to stay strong because he's a man and needs to man up. Ronnie's death was very tragic and traumatizing to most people who have a heart and have empathy to get this video removed and get justice for this family to have peace, and let Ronnie rest. He is in a better place and surrounded by angels, I truly believe if someone commits suicide due to severe mental illnesses, God is merciful and will spare them into the kingdom of heaven. Do not judge especially Ronnie, you do not know what he dealt with. He was a veteran and fought for our country, and probably didn't get the good enough help from the VA hospital. We need to treat our veterans with so much respect and they need to be our first priority to get the help they need, after all they fought for our country and God bless them!
Please sign this petition to remove this horrible suicide video, it is not entertainment! This is someone's family, someone's friend, someone's son, and possibly someone's brother. His church has been extra supportive and been getting doxxed by 4chan people who think Ronnie McNutt's suicide is funny which is not! How has suicide ever been funny? How is this a joke? Even people have the audacity to say that Ronnie faked his own death when clearly if you saw the video, you know how graphic it was when his face completely was dismembered.
Fortunately I did not see the video but someone did tag me into an aftermath photo and I was scarred. I reported all the time but still get a response back from the community guidelines saying it doesn't go against their standards which is absolute crap! It is a vile and it's very sick to know that there are people who get off on suicide or snuff films.
Please sign this petition if you agree and will pass it on to all social media platforms to get this tragic death off. Not only it's immoral, sinful, and stigma all over against people with mental illnesses especially people who attempt suicide successfully on camera or in public. This man was screaming for help because his mind was telling him not to go on, and even though he livestreamed it he wanted to let everyone know what veterans have to go through with PTSD when they come back from the war. People don't understand that he was not in his right state of mind and judging him by saying, "Well he posted it for the world to see." The thing is yes for his family but he did not consent for his video to be posted all over social media and turn him into a joke! He was crying for help and felt like at the time nobody cared about him especially his girlfriend who bluntly hung up the phone on him and that's what set him off. Now He is deceased and people are still harassing him and creating fake accounts saying that he faked his own death! This world is getting scarier and scarier, I feel like this should be illegal to sell or send to kids under the age of 18 especially because just like snuff films on the dark web, suicide should not be a form of entertainment or for someone to have a fetish with violence. These people need to get extreme psychiatric help or be put away in jail forever to know that stuff like this creates people who become serial killers down the road. Please sign! We need justice for Ronnie as the hashtag that's going around called #reformforronnie
