On February 23rd 2016, YouTuber and rail enthusiast Simon Poole had his six-year-old account banned from YouTube after multiple copyright strikes filed by James Crook. However, from what we know about, Simon is the innocent one and he's been taken for one hell of an uncomfortable ride. James Crook, the person against Simon, is a well-known plagiarist having stolen many photos from other people and claiming that other people's videos are stolen. Simon showed us in his final video that he uploaded last night that all content he creates and uploads to social networks like YouTube, Facebook and Flickr belongs entirely to him and him only. By signing this petition and spreading the word, you agree that what's happened to Simon is wrong, unjust and illegal. Considering it happened so easily to him, how easily could it happen to someone who makes YouTube videos for a living? James Crook will not stop for anyone until he's the 'last man standing', if you will, so I put it to the YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki, get James Crook to apologize for what he has done and reinstate Simon Poole's (Sim0ntrains) channel. If you can reinstate the likes of IHE (I Hate Everything) and YMS (You'reMovieSucks) then surely Simon's can be saved.

Whether you're fans of Simon or not, what's happened to him is wrong and it's not fair. Why does YouTube always find you guilty until proven innocent? Why can anyone and his dog make a copyright claim against someone innocent with just the click of a button? Why doesn't a human being ever review any claimed videos before the strike is sent out? Why aren't their any repercussions for those who make false copyright claims? So many questions and more need to be answered for. In short, give Simon Poole his channel back and do something about your unfair copyright system.
