Have YouTube and other video sites change their copyright policy for the better.

The Issue

This is important, because not every person on YouTube and other sites like it, get the chance to make videos about a lot of movies, shows, video games and other copyrighted material.

I feel that for as long as we source what we are using, then our videos shouldn't be blocked or altered in any way.

Unfortunately with the current copyright policy and ID Claim system, people get their videos blocked, flagged or altered when they make videos with or about copyrighted material. If people aren't making money off of the copyrighted material that they are using, then there shouldn't be an issue. Also if they are sourcing what they using and giving credit to what they are using in the video description or the video itself, then video makers shouldn't have any issues.

We use copyrighted stuff to promote and source other people's work that we like and are passionate about. Doing this can bring things to people's attention. It's kind of like you're advertising for free.

We shouldn't have to be flagged for sourcing what we use. If we source/cite what we use, we are giving credit to the owners of that said copyrighted material.
