*This petition is not shaming YouTuber Eugenia Cooney for her eating disorder.

For those of you who don’t know, Eugenia Cooney is a YouTuber who has been struggling with a very serious eating disorder for quite some time now. We have watched her slowly lose more and more weight over the years.

Not long ago, Eugenia met up with fellow YouTuber Shane Dawson to discuss her progress after spending time at an inpatient care facility for those with serious eating disorders. The hope we felt for her was unfortunately short-lived, as Eugenia is now more underweight than the world has ever seen.

She is slowly killing herself.

There are thousands of comments on her videos telling her to seek help. Many of these comments are coming from young teens. Many of these comments are coming from a caring place in someone’s heart. But she pretends these comments don’t exist. 

Eugenia’s eating disorder is a mental illness. Her situation is so severe that it seems as if she could die at any moment. There are millions of viewers watching her show off her body. Eugenia seems to purposefully make videos showing off revealing clothing, and at this point it seems as if she’s doing this on purpose. Whatever the reason may be, children should not be watching this content of someone who is so sick mentally and physically. And Eugenia should not be getting ‘awarded’ money from YouTube for showing the world her eating disorder with no plans to seek help in sight.

we ask that you please demonetize Eugenia Cooney’s account until further notice. Not only are you directly contributing to the promotion of her attention-seeking tendencies with her ED, but young minds are seeing her eating disorder up close and personal, which is very dangerous. It is clear as day that she is on the brink of death, and she needs help. She needs help fast. Please consider this so she can hopefully get a reality check and stay alive. 

**If you or anyone you know is struggling with an eating disorder of any kind, remember that it’s beatable no matter how strong of a hold it has over your life. There is help. There is a light at the end of the dark tunnel.
