Community meetings are being held in a neighborhood to disseminate information, raise awareness, and plan for the betterment of the community. The meetings are not solo, its not the head or the authority only. Meetings are supposed to be interactive where all citizens should participate in. Although, many citizens specifically youths does not attend such important events. According to the study of Mave Joysce Cadane in 2024 towards 598 residing in Babatngon, Leyte only 30 members in youth focused volunteer organizations are youths, while other are inactive throughout the year. From her study the reasons behind disengagement of the youth includes lack of interest, no invitation, lack of self-confidence, lack of time and financial constraints.

In addition, reasons such as youths being introverted also plays a major role with their absence in community meeting. Due to these, youths are unable to communicate to the point were they don't want to go outside. They don't wish to meet new people and the youth believe that their voices are not heard. Also the ineffectiveness and unobserved results of the meeting discourage them even more.

To solve this problem, we propose several actions to be implemented, these includes youth led initiatives. This would let the youth to be responsible on assemblies for youths. Let young adult take on leadership roles with the assistance of elders. Elders must encourage youths to be socially aware with their surroundings. To do these, parents and the authority should provide enough knowledge and proper assistance to youths. On why such assemblies for youths were being implemented as well as its importance to them. Thus in assemblies, the agendas should be relevant and engaging to keep the youths interested. In engaging with the youths, coordinators can give interactive and participatory activities with rewards like snacks, for them to enjoy the program well. Also establish questions and answers between the youths and coordinators/speakers to receive feedbacks. It'll make the youths feel welcomed and belonged. 

Regularly follow up the youths after the assemblies, make pages were they can access and provide updates on future events and maintain a consistent schedule. Know the reasons on why others couldn't participate to the meeting. Build trust and relationships with them. Foster a positive relationships between youths and assembly organizers, ensuring a safe , supportive, and non-judgemental environment. Given the proper supervision of elders, youths will be actively interested with their surroundings. This will lead them into participating on youths social gatherings and other youth related activities actively.
