Young students all over Miami Dade County are extremely upset due to a video Miami Dade Public Schools recently posted. In an attempt to fight sexting they created a promo video showing a girl being bullied and sexually harassed after sending someone a "nude" or sexy picture. Here is the  Video from MDCPS. One issue is that this video targets young women, it's unfair to make it seem like young women are the only one's partaking in sexual activity. Its wrong. Another issue is that the girl is reprimanded but the bullies are not, which sends the message that if a woman is sexual she is to blame for the harassment she may face and should be more careful. This is an aspect of "Rape culture" which helps protect rapists and hurt victims. Rape Culture is one of the reasons rape goes so unreported and rapists like Brock Turner receive lenient sentencing. This video says "Do not ruin your reputation! Do not post photos or videos you do not want others to see!"  If you feel women should be in control of their sexuality, feel empowered and be presented facts and not misogyny please sign this petition.
